It was a back-and-forth game Duncanville scored the 1st two touchdowns then North Shore answered back by scoring three. By the end of the 1st half, Duncanville scored again tying the game at 21-21 by halftime. It was hard fought battle by both teams especially on the defensive side once Duncanville scored again North Shore couldn't get past Duncanville's defense. Therefore, the final score of the game was 28-21 making The Duncanville Panthers The 2022 6A Division I State Champions. Both teams fought extremely hard and in this article, I'll be breaking down The Duncanville Panthers' offensive and defensive standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id='408032' first='Caden' last='Durham'] is a tremendous and unstoppable running back. Caden was named offensive MVP for his explosive runs and many touchdowns. Caden every time he got the ball got a 1st down or touchdown. This was due to Caden's speed and strength it was difficult to tackle and bring down Caden usually taking 2 or more defenders to tackle him. North Shore has one of the best defenses in the state and for Caden to make them struggle is a grand feat. Caden is a top college prospect having numerous college and university offers from; Texas Tech University, Arizona State University, Texas Christian University, Louisiana State University, The University of Houston, The University of Oklahoma, and The University of Alabama to name a few. Caden's stats were 105 rushing yards for 3 touchdowns.

#12 Keelon Russell QB So 6'4 175 lbs

Keelon Russell the new quarterback for The Duncanville Panthers is making a name for himself. Keelon is a double-threat quarterback who can pass the ball with excellent accuracy and has great footwork, speed, and quickness for scrambling. Keelon is also the ideal height for a quarterback being 6'4. Keelon's best play of the game was when he ran down the middle broke a tackle and scored a touchdown for 88-yards. Keelon is an athlete to keep an eye on and will be a top college prospect in the next two years. Keelon's stats was one 88-yard touchdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='920390' first='Tyren' last='Polley'] is an aggressive safety with great tackling form. Tyren is yet another standout sophomore on Duncanville's roster. If a wide receiver caught a pass Tyren would be ready to make them regret it. Tyren would instantly be on the wide receiver as soon as they caught a pass and went straight for their ankles. Tyren has received the attention of three big-name colleges the University of Indiana, The University of Ole Miss, and Louisiana State University. Tyron's stats was one interception.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='270019' first='Colin' last='Simmons'] DE, DT Jr 6'2 215 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id='270019' first='Colin' last='Simmons'] was the most aggressive, efficient, and consistent athlete during this game. I like to call Colin the anti-quarterback because it felt like every single play Colin was in the backfield attacking North Shore's quarterback. Colin was a problem the whole night getting sacks, tackling the running back, quarterback hurries and swatting passes. Colin was an easy candidate for Defensive MVP and after their state championship loss to North Shore last year he said “I'll be back” and he was correct. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Colin next season in his senior year. Colin's stats were 4.5 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks, and 2 QB hurries
