Roderick Robinson, the #1 RB in CA, will be looking to finish his Lincoln career with a state title before heading to Athens to play for the reigning national champs. De La Salle TE remains committed to Notre Dame, a school that’s consistently produced NFL talent at the TE position. The two teams play Friday, 12/9 at 8PM at Saddleback College.
Highlights
The Georgia commit showed why he’s the best RB in the state rushing 16 times for 181 yards and 4 TDs. He’s a polished, every-down back with an elite combination of size, power, and speed. He’s been battling a lingering injury throughout the playoffs but continues to handle a heavy workload and produce explosive plays for Lincoln’s offense. Robinson’s accumulated over 2,100 rushing yards and 25 TDs in his final season at Lincoln. De La Salle will have a tough time keeping up with Lincoln if they’re not able to contain the top RB in the state.
De La Salle’s leading rusher handled 31 carries for 125 yards and a TD in their 17-14 win over Folsom in the NorCal Regional. He’s an explosive back that gets downhill quickly and accelerates with burst out of his cuts. He’s a smooth, natural runner that can separate from defenders with his top-end speed. Greer committed to Fresno St. in July with other offers from Utah, Nevada, and Cal, among others.
San Diego’s DPOY has solidified himself as the most talented DB in the area. He’s a skilled, multi-tool safety that can make plays in man or zone coverage. He’s an aggressive, rangy tackler that can play close to the LOS and provide physical run support. He creates turnovers in the secondary using his instincts and ball skills. Flanagan’s one of the top TEs in the state and makes plays from his DE spot on defense. He’s a highly effective run blocker that can move DEs off the ball and stick to LBs at the second level. He can leak out on play-action and take advantage of soft spots up the seam or create space on out-breaking routes. He presents a big target at 6’6”/240 with a wide catch radius and body control adjusting to the ball. Flanagan wraps up his high school career and heads to Notre Dame who just produced the top TE prospect in the upcoming draft, Michael Mayer.
Peevy’s a dynamic athlete off the edge that can rush the passer and create negative plays for the defense. He provides length and range at 6’4”/240 showing closing speed and lateral movement in pursuit. He’s a skilled, instinctual pass rusher that can stay clean using his hands and tip passes at the LOS. Peevy committed to USC in October and just picked up an Oklahoma offer in November.
