Matt Brimhall, LB, Snowflake ’23
Brimhall is a flat out stud and absolutely battled for 4 quarters on Friday night. He racked up 23 tackles on the night, where he came into the game with 200+ tackles. Good IQ and physical ability to fly around the field and make plays. He also had an INT on the night, and played the best defensive game that any individual player has played against ALA all year. Extremely impressive night for a severely underrated player.
Trevor Tenney, LB, ALA-GN ’23
Tenney has been a solid player for ALA all year and it didn’t stop in the championship. He recorded 12 tackles (8 solo) and was touted with a heavy role in stopping that heavy Snowflake run. Physical player that sticks his nose into every play and had a good night.
Jordan Mowers, DL, Snowflake ’23
Mowers does a great job finding different ways to disrupt the play. he sacked Damante twice, something that isn’t easy to do and was also able to accumulte 11 total tackles.
Garrett Flake, LB, Snowflake ’23
I really like what Flake brought to the table on Friday night. He had a season high best 14 total tackles with 1 PBU. That whole defensive unit at Snowflake has been their strength all year, and despite the loss, Flake stepped up and played well to catch some attention.
Zach Morton, LB, ALA-GN ’23
Morton added to his high number of tackes on Friday night, racking up 11 total tackles and providing excellent run support with Tenney to help limit Snowflake to 14 points and contain their strength. He flashes good instincts/reaction and frequently takes a smart track toard ball carriers.
