<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='542892' first='Creed' last='Chavez'], WR (St. Michael's)</strong>: We first saw Chavez during 7-on-7 last summer and we were impressed with his skill in recognizing defenses. Chavez emerged this season as one of the top wide receivers in Class 3A. Every week he made impactful plays for the Horsemen, sometimes game-winning plays. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538943' first='Tristin' last='Cordova'], WR (Volcano Vista)</strong>: Cordova was Hawks QB Elliot Pasket-Bell's favorite target this past season, catching 74 passes for 1,156 yards and 11 TD. He finished third in the state in receptions and fourth in receiving yardage. He was one of only 10 WR to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538850' first='Gage' last='Donaghe'], DL (Artesia)</strong>: Donaghe anchored the defensive line for an underrated Artesia defense. He amassed 57 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. Impressive numbers for a defensive tackle. Just as with the offense, many of the Bulldogs' top performers on defense in 2022 were juniors. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538854' first='Colton' last='Franzoy'], LB (Goddard)</strong>: Franzoy was right in the middle of the Goddard defense this past season as the Rockets made another run to the playoffs, and earned an invitation to the recent NMHSCA All-Star Game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='544218' first='Reuben' last='Holguin'], DL (Silver)</strong>: Who led the state in sacks this past season? Holguin. He had 14.5 sacks in 13 games, 1.5 sacks more than the player in second place. Holguin was a major factor in Silver advancing as far as the Class 4A state championship game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538876' first='Emanuel' last='Negreiros'], OL (Cleveland</strong>): Negreiros anchored a Storm offensive line that paved the way for B [player_tooltip player_id='138204' first='Josh' last='Perry'] and one of the best rushing attacks in Class 6A. He earned an invitation to the NMHSCA All-Star game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538805' first='Royal' last='Page'], OL (Moriarty)</strong>: Frequently and flawlessly running the Wing-T with precision, Moriarty has one of the most lethal rushing attacks in the entire state. Page helps pave the way for a ground game featuring 5 rushers with 385+ yards. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538845' first='Hunter' last='Roswold'], DL (La Cueva)</strong>: On a Bears defense filled with standouts, the 6-foot-1 Roswold is a little bit unheralded but he had 53 tackles, 8 TFL, 5 sacks and 1 FR. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='538801' first='Steven' last='Torres'], OL (Volcano Vista</strong>): Torres is one of the top centers in the state and earned a spot on the roster of the Red Team in the NMHSCA All-Star Game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='546526' first='Latrell' last='Treadwell'], DL (Volcano Vista)</strong>: The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Treadwell had 57 tackles and 10 TFL for the Hawks in 2022, earning First-Team All-State, All-District and All-Metro honors. He has been offered by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana and Doane University in Nebraska.</p>
