As we are inching closer and closer to the playoffs, there are plenty of teams that happen to be more prepared than others. Because the top half of the teams in the state of Georgia seem to be so talented, we wanted to take some time to cover some of our favorite playoff teams, who we feel are set to take the stage, and shine brighter than ever. Below, we have listed a few teams worth tracking in the next few weeks, as they will likely knock off other top contenders, and pave a way to the final rounds of the playoffs.

Buford

As one could expect, Buford happens to be one of the most well rounded, and seemingly poised teams to take on the playoffs soon. They have proven to be a high flying offense, and have limited opposing teams to very minimal points. They have shown out in clutch situations, and some of their game changers seem to be able to understand how big certain moments are, and are able to change momentum drastically for their team, making them even better. Offensively, players to note, and keep track of include the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='137438' first='KJ' last='Bolden'], [player_tooltip player_id='326299' first='Dylan' last='Wittke'], Joseph Edwards, and [player_tooltip player_id='320358' first='Paul' last='Mubenga']. Defensively, we feel that the team is loaded, and prospects such as Malik Spencer, [player_tooltip player_id='220734' first='Eddrick' last='Houston'], [player_tooltip player_id='321451' first='Tyshun' last='White'], and [player_tooltip player_id='339672' first='Mantrez' last='Walker'] are all worth tracking as well, as they have been a huge part of their team's success this season.

Mill Creek

Mill Creek is not only one of the most talented teams this season, but they seem as if they can take on any competition that may come their way. They have outscored opposing offenses by more than double the points. They have proven to be consistent week to week , and have even been dominant to the point in which they have shut teams out completely. Largely, this is due to the incredible personnel that they have on both sides of the ball. Defensively, they have seen a high level of success, and are very ready for the playoffs because of prospects such as [player_tooltip player_id='34015' first='Caleb' last='Downs'], [player_tooltip player_id='326288' first='Jamal' last='Anderson'], Khai Greene, and Josh Anglin. Offensively, look for players such as [player_tooltip player_id='327232' first='Hayden' last='Clark'], Cameron Robinson, Makhail Wood, and [player_tooltip player_id='327234' first='Brendan' last='Jenkins'] to also be a huge part of the team's success.

Colquitt County

Not only is Colquitt continuing to pave the way for a great season, but they are doing so in ways that honor their successful lineage. They have allowed limited points to opposing offenses this season, and have made the most out of each trip to the end zone in which they have seen. The leaders of their offense, and defense have stepped up in impressive ways, in which we think they will continue to excel in the postseason, especially if they have a favorable matchup. Defensively, expect [player_tooltip player_id='399318' first='Kamal' last='Bonner'], and Julian Harper to continue to step up. On the offensive side of the ball, look for [player_tooltip player_id='220717' first='Jack' last='Luttrell'], [player_tooltip player_id='220729' first='Landen' last='Thomas'], [player_tooltip player_id='321422' first='Ny' last='Carr'], [player_tooltip player_id='330757' first='Charlie' last='Pace'], and [player_tooltip player_id='165721' first='Jaden' last='Fowler'] to carry a large workload.

Langston Hughes

While many fans across the state may be impressed, and almost shocked that Langston Hughes has racked up an incredible record, and has played incredibly well all across the board, we here at PrepRedzone can say that we saw it coming. Not only are they dominant in limiting possession time of opposing teams, but they are incredible at putting points on the board that are almost impossible for the other team to compete with, and try to keep up with. As the postseason begin, make sure to keep track of players such as [player_tooltip player_id='320346' first='Jelani' last='Thurman'], [player_tooltip player_id='34023' first='Terrance' last='Love'], Robert Lockhart, [player_tooltip player_id='137477' first='Prentiss' last='Noland'], Gannon Weathersbu, and [player_tooltip player_id='320364' first='Joshua' last='Horton'].

Grayson

Grayson football, which is always viewed as top tier, and upper echelon, has had another great season, as they have put up a large amount of points on offense, while also playing top tier defense year round. Not only have they not allowed many points from opposing offenses, but they have appeared to be dominant in various ways. Perhaps, one of the games in which they did not display this happened to be against Lowndes, in which they fell, 24-14. Nevertheless, they are a strong team to track in the playoffs, as they look to be poised for plenty of success. Great playoff performances from players such as Michael Duagherty, Jalen Smith,a dn [player_tooltip player_id='321447' first='Kylan' last='Fox'] will also help Grayson to progress forward the way they are hoping to do so.
