The NYCHSFL gets more competitive as the playoffs progress and in these semifinals, we saw three of New York States' top-ranked teams play. Iona Prep and Archbishop Stepinac provided a back-and-forth grueling battle that left Iona Prep on top and St. Anthony's offense was too much to handle for Chaminade just like each of St. Anthony's opponents this season. We got some incredible games and incredible performances so let's check out Prep Redzone New York's NYCHSFL AAA Semifinals Top Performers.

In those five games Miles had 6 receptions all of which came before November. We then saw a pretty interesting position switch from Miles in which he moved to safety to help sure up a St. Anthony's defense that only held one NYCHSFL team under 23 points. Miles switch to safety comes at a perfect time for St. Anthony's as they hit their stride in the playoffs. Against Chaminade in the Semifinals Miles proved that his position switch is a game changer for St. Anthony's as he registered 1 INT, 1 blocked punt, and 5 Tackles and helped hold Chaminade to a mere 16 points on offense.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["471133"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Part of the reason that this St. Anthony's team is so dangerous is that because their running game has become a really nice compliment to their air attack as the season progresses. Against Chaminade [player_tooltip player_id='471133' first='Darius' last='Morant'] showed how dangerous St. Anthony's can be on the ground. A team leading 20 carries led to 143 yards, 7.3 yards per carry, 1 TD. Morant was really good with the ball in his hands and the bruising back is such a weapon for this St. Anthony's squad. The air attack is potent but with [player_tooltip player_id='471133' first='Darius' last='Morant'] wearing out the opposing defense he not only is moving the ball and eating clock but also setting up St. Anthony's to get the vertical passing game going. Morant had an incredible game and his combination of speed and power was on full display.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["450491"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Although Archbishop Stepinac was not able to come home with a victory [player_tooltip player_id='450491' first='Jordan' last='Osbourne'] kept Stepinac in the game on several occasions. Osbourne, on only 11 carries, had 145 rushing yards and a touchdown which came on a long 80 yarder. Osbourne also added a receiving touchdown from the backfield registering his first 2TD game since week 1 against Christ the King. Osbourne is so good in space and has the breakaway speed to have those long runs. When Stepinac struggled to get continuous rhythm going through the air Osbourne was there to keep drives alive.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["436227"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"This is becoming a theme as the season goes on. [player_tooltip player_id='436227' first='Colin' last='O'Garro'] continues to show up when it matters for Iona Prep with incredible performances on the ground. Colleges are starting to finally take notice as O'Garro just picked up offers from Bucknell and Dartmouth in November. O'Garro against a very underrated Stepinac defensive line had 112 yards on 16 carries, 2TDs, and 2 catches for 25 yards. O'Garro has incredible size and he is so difficult to bring down when he hits his stride. His patience through the hole and quick twitch acceleration make him hard to get down by the line of scrimmage.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["505380"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='505380' first='Terron' last='Johnson'] continues his really solid sophomore season and made one of the biggest plays for Iona Prep in this game. Johnson had an incredible pick-6 on Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='277898' first='Will' last='Currid'] where he read Currid's drop and perfectly read a short pass and jumped the route and only had to run a few yards to get the touchdown. Johnson was a part of a defensive backfield that helped hold New York states passing leader in Currid to a mere 185 yards and completion percentage under 50%.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["233599"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='233599' first='Ajani' last='Sheppard'] continues his brilliance against top competition in New York with a great showing against a great Archbishop Stepinac Defense. 217 passing yards, 76% completion percentage, 17 carries, 146 rushing yards, 3 Total TD's. Sheppard again was able to be a threat as a passer and on the ground. It nearly was a perfect game for Sheppard outside of one Redzone INT by Kori Small. Sheppard is just a level above the other quarterbacks in New York State. While complimentary pieces like [player_tooltip player_id='436227' first='Colin' last='O'Garro'] and a strong defense Iona Prep has a solid squad. But don't think that [player_tooltip player_id='233599' first='Ajani' last='Sheppard'] can be replaced. He is a one of one type of talent and clearly the main reason this Iona Prep team is so good.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["120010"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='120010' first='Korey' last='Duff Jr.'] looked like he was one his way to an incredible season when he started the year with 14 receptions, 364 yards, 3TDs in his first two games. In the five games that followed Duff Jr. had 14 receptions, 272 yards, 4TDs. Teams were so adamant about stopping the star receiver they often game-planned and made it really difficult to Duff Jr to get the ball. Well it seems like that trend is over as Duff Jr. was able to hav a dominant game against Chaminade. 5 receptions, 114 yards and 1 TD led all receivers for St. Anthony's and was the focal point of their air attack. One of the best athletes on the field at all times Duff Jr was just way too much to handle and his performance in the Semifinals could be a preview of what is to come against Iona Prep in the finals.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":7,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit"} /-->
