Portland (6-1) @ Cadillac (5-2)
At this point in the season, these are two playoff teams. Nevertheless, this is going to be huge for seeding purposes. I feel that both Cadillac and Portland are vastly underrated programs- mainly because they aren’t in the most lucrative areas for HS Football. Cadillac is a disciplined team with a few amazing seniors, and they have the skills to beat almost everyone in Division 3. Whereas Portland is an amazing Division 5 program, and it always seems like they play DeWitt tough.
Hudsonville (2-5) @ East Kentwood (4-3)
Major playoff implications for both programs. Even at 2-5, Hudsonville is ranked #39 in Division 1, and they’ve played a difficult schedule. East Kentwood is now much more likely to make the postseason after last week’s win against West Ottawa, but they may still need to win this one.
Byron Center (5-2) @ Forest Hills Northern (4-3)
Northern needs this game to make the postseason, while Byron Center has likely already punched its ticket to the postseason. I may be at this game.
Coopersville (5-2) @ West Catholic (6-1)
West Catholic shockingly lost against Fruitport last weekend. Coopersville is a good team that has dominated in every win and has losses against Unity Christian and Fruitport.
East Grand Rapids (2-5) @ Lowell (5-2)
EGR has begun to get their stride, but they absolutely need this game if they want any shot at the postseason. Lowell is a good program after a down year last year.
