Continue ReadingFollowing 7 weeks of high school football, the passing rankings are starting to look even more crazy. Players are beginning to come out of the woodworks on different levels of this list, and some of the top passers are beginning to separate themselves stat wise form the others. Below, take a look at our most recent passing leaders in the state, as we doubt that you will be disappointed.
Tate Morris- McIntosh
Shockingly enough, even though McIntosh sits at a 2-4 record, Morris has played his tail off for his team, and has already thrown for 2,126 yards, with an average of 303 yards a game. To add to this, he has also completed 141 of his 221 passes. The downside of this high level of production is the fact that Morris has thrown 14 TD’s, to 7 interceptions. While we are impressed with his placement on this list, it is evident that he needs to play cleaner, more efficient football moving forward. If he can continue to do so, it will be interesting to see where his stats lie at the end of the season.
Keegan Stover

– Rabun County
So far, Rabun County’s high flying offense has allowed Stover to throw for over 2,000 yards after just 7 games. Specifically, he has thrown for around 2,034 yards this year, with an average of 290.6 yards a game. If this isn’t impressive in itself, maybe the fact that he has thrown for 23 TD’s, with 0 listed interceptions will do it. Stover has completed 123 of his 192 listed passes, and has been one of the most consistent parts of his team’s success. As the next few weeks go by, we would like to see him continue to play at this rate, and put himself in position to make a run in the playoffs with his team.
Antwann Hill

Jr- Houston County
Through 7 games, Hill has done a good job of playing consistent, and clean football for his team. To prove this, one can look at the 19 TD’s he has thrown, to the 2 interceptions he has thrown. This high level of consistency has also come with a completion percentage of 74%. Along with this, it should also be noted that Hill has thrown for around 1,969 yards this season, with an average of 281.3 yards per game. Moving forward, we would like to see him continue to perform at this rate, as it will be one of the things that helps him to lead his team to more wins, and for himself, a place on this list at the end of the season.
Aaron Philo

Prince Avenue Christian | 2024
State
GA
– Prince Avenue Christian
Philo, who had his fair share of success as one of the leading passers in the state last year, has continued to perform at an incredibly high level this year, as he is continuing to find himself on this list. This year, he has already put up 1,911 yards after 6 games, and has averaged around 318.5 yards a game. In addition to this, he has also been passing with an efficiency of 65% completion percentage. Along with this, Philo has completed 120 of his 183 listed passes, and has also thrown for 19 TD’s, and only 4 interceptions. Expect for him to continue to lead his team successfully as he already has, and for his team to see a high level of success moving into the rest of the season.

has also played at a very high level, despite his team currently sitting at a 4-3 record. Nevertheless, Hart has still thrown for around 1,876 yards this year, with an average of 268 yards per game. With this, he has also completed 118 of the 200 passes he has been listed to have thrown. While this does not equate to the best completion percentage, we can also note that he has successfully thrown 17 TD’s. Moving forward, if Hart wants to continue to be on this list, playing consistent football, and making better decisions down the stretchy will be key. If he is unable to do so, turnovers will be a root cause of why he is not on this list when it is all said and done.
