Since then they have gone undefeated to dominate their district. Every game Cy-Fair plays they rack up the score with their overwhelming offense. In this article, I will be discussing The Jersey Village Falcon’s offensive standouts.
#1 Zaccheas Baynes WR, RB Sr 5’6 155 lbs
Zaccheas Baynes is probably one of the smallest running back I have ever seen, but he is one of the fastest and quickest I have seen in a while. Zaccheas being so light made him exceptionally fast he would be running upfield and then turn on the boosters zooming past everyone on defense to go to the end zone. Zaccheas would run through an open path slip through and run for a big gain or a touchdown. Zaccheas currently has one college offer from Friends University. Zaccheas’ stats this season for 8 games are 14 receptions for 221 receiving yards, 84 carries with 809 yards for a total of 1,030 total yards, and 17 touchdowns.
#3 Trey Owens Trey Owens 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Cy Fair | 2024 State TX QB Jr 6’2 190 lbs
Trey Owens Trey Owens 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Cy Fair | 2024 State TX is a spectacular quarterback. In the one game, I saw of his all of Trey’s passes were spot-on with a nice perfect spiral. Trey can accurately throw short, mid, and long ranges. The only passes of Trey’s that weren’t accurate were dropped by the wide receiver or knocked down by the defender. If Trey improved his speed, running, and scrambling skills he will become one of the best quarterbacks not only in his own division but in Houston. Trey is a top college prospect with offers from Baylor University, Texas Tech University, University of Tulsa, University of Houston, University of Texas San Antonio, and Rice University. Trey’s stats this season for 8 games are 130/190 passes completed, 23 touchdown passes thrown, and ran one touchdown in himself.
#34 Jamel Nickerson RB Jr 5’7 175 lbs
Jamel Nickerson is another small running back but runs the ball as efficiently as Zaccheas Baynes. Jamel is fast and despite his small size, he is difficult to tackle and has a strong stiff arm. In the game against Jersey Village, I saw Jamel run an incredible 54-yard touchdown where he broke two tackles and ran through three other defenders. Jamel is elusive, fast, powerful, and determined to be a massive asset to Cy-Fair. Jamel’s stats this season for 8 games are 1 reception for 25 receiving yards, 35 carries with 270 yards for a total of 295 yards and 4 touchdowns.
#7 Connor Porter WR Jr 6’0 170 lbs
Connor Porter is one of the fastest players on Cy-Fair’s roster. Connor could beat out any defender in front of him as a wide receiver. Connor’s speed speaks for himself the game I saw of him playing he lined up as quarterback for a quarterback sneak for a touchdown. Even on run-heavy offense Connor still manages to shine every time he catches a pass. Connor’s stats this season for 8 games are 27 receptions for 370 receiving yards with 7 touchdowns.
