Mr. Crews has been nothing short of stellar so far this season. In just 5 games he was able to produce 844 rushing yards off 66 carries and 15 TDs. Talk about an impressive start to the midway point of the season. If you need a quick reminder on why he’s a top player we have in the state of Illinois look at this Jr Season highlights below and you’ll see why. Translate that over to this season and he’s able to use his foot quicks to get through the hole quickly and gain a step on 2nd level defenders to break long runs in the process. Give this young man a sliver of a running lane and he’ll hit it hard and can then make defenders miss in open space as well. If you previously didn’t know about Mr. Crews, now you do. Twitter

I got the chance to see Mr. Kwiecinski LIVE in action earlier this season where he flashed his full skill set. Now, he was going up two of the top five linebackers in the state of Illinois for the class of 23′ that are both going to play P5 football next fall. Taking that one game out of the equation, you get to see his full skill set below in his midseason highlights. So far, he’s been able to put up 684 rushing yards and 13 TDs over the last 6 weeks. This is done with his ability to make defenders miss in open space showcasing his elusiveness to then break long runs. There are so many weapons on Lincoln-Way East’s offense that any one player can have a stellar performance. This young man’s time was in week 5 where he put up 5 TDs going for 186 rushing yards. If you need a speedy back that can also work in the slot, look no further. Twitter
Mr. Yard has been on my radar for some time now and plays on one of the top teams in 5A football here in Illinois. What stands out the most about this young man is his vision. He uses his vision to find running lanes quickly between the tackles and can find cutback lanes in an instance that he hits using his jump cuts. What’s interesting is how he can get skinny through the hole while still lowering his shoulder to run defenders over showcasing his downhill running style. Most prominently, in Week 5 he produces 164 yards off 23 carries for 4 TDs. Twitter
Mr. Watson is a young man that’s been on my radar for some time now and one that continues to improve his skill set. What stands out the most about this young man’s play is his versatility to be a threat in the backfield as well as out of the slot in the air attack. His ability to change direction quickly once he puts his foot into the ground is a headscratcher for opposing defenses. There’s a handful of clips below where it seems like he’s going to be brought down for a loss or no gain on the play but by cutting quickly he’s able to find cutback lanes to break long runs. In the game below, he ended up rushing for 145 yards and got into the endzone twice on the night. When you’re playing York, there are three main offensive players to worry about. Those are Matt Vezza Matt Vezza 5’11” | 180 lbs | QB York | 2023 State IL , Charlie Specht Charlie Specht 6’2″ | 175 lbs | WR York | 2023 State IL , and you guessed it, Kelly Watson Kelly Watson 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB York | 2023 State IL . Mr. Nimesheim is a new name to me this fall season and he’s off to a hot start for the Ramblers. What stands out the most about this young man is his body control. In the highlights below you see this in action when he’s able to stay up after using a toe tap along the sideline before getting into the endzone for six. This is also seen when he weaves in/out of defenders in open space and is able to stop on a dime at times making pursuing defenders overpursue to pick up extra yards on the play. He can also get involved in the air attack where he can catch coming out of the backfield as well as line up in the slot. Either way, once he secures the catch he can get vertical quickly to keep the chains moving. In the three weeks below, he had 66 carries for 447 yards and 4 rushing TDs. Not to forget his 12 receptions for 166 yards and 2 receiving TDs. Pairing these two stat lines together, you get an insight into the potential that this young man has. Twitter
