What a start to playoff szn so far! Even if I wasn't currently living in Florida, I still would have been caught a little off guard by the two games in seven days opening rounds of the 2022 playoffs, but all this did was amplify the excitement and fireworks surrounding the win-or-go-home section and eventually state tournaments. It's been especially exciting if you're the likes of Foley High School, Benilde-St. Margaret's, Dassel-Cokato, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, and Chisago Lakes, among others, and between the upsets, last-second thrillers, and dominant butt-whoopings, PrepRedzoneMN identified 25 standout individual performances from Minnesota preps throughout the state. These games are getting tighter and more high-pressured, the performances more clutch, and the yards and tackles harder earned, so I have to give extra props to the 25 noteworthy ballers from Playoff Week 1/2 in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Congrats to the below-mentioned studs and thanks for reading!

--

1) Bo Bokman (Bethlehem Academy) ATH. 2025. - 11 carries for 80 yards and 2 TDs, a catch for 25 yards, 11 tackles, an interception returned for a TD, a sack, and 3.5 TFLs as BA beat Rushford-Peterson by 22.

2) Tate Link (Dassel-Cokato) RB. 2023. - Another big night for the Chargers stud senior as Link posted 48 carries for 277 yards and 2 TDs in a win over Litchfield.

3) Koi Perich (Esko) ATH. 2024. - Esko is rolling and Perich aided in the big win with for 6 touches for 206 yards and 3 TDs plus 5 tackles and two interceptions as the Eskimos beat up on Two Harbors.

4) Caden Spence (Zimmerman) RB. 2023. - 22 carries for 224 yards and 4 TDs as the Thunder beat Mound Westonka 42-14.

5) Nirvaan Yogarajah (Benilde-St. Margaret's) QB. 2024. - BSM is rolling and has popped off their first two wins of the season during this playoff time thanks to Yogarajah's play. Last week in a win over SMB, the junior was 20-28 for 276 yards and 2 TDs as the Red Knights won 25-7.

6) Nick Walter (Annandale) QB. 2024. - In a tight loss to Milaca, Walter was 30-43 for 278 yards and 4 TDs and added 9 carries for 65 yards on the ground and 2 tackles.

7) Cole Hentges (Sartell-St. Stephen) QB. 2023. - The gunslinger and prolific senior aided in crazy 15-14 victory over SSR as he went 15-27 for 213 yards and 2 TDs plus nine tackles on defense.

8) Corey Bohmert (Mahtomedi) RB. 2023. - One of the '22 season's breakout stars, Bohmert popped off for 246 rushing yards and 3 TDs and is nearing 2k rushing yards on the season. Maht beat up on CDH in their latest contest.

9) Sawyer Seidl (Hill-Murray) RB. 2023. - Minnesota's 2023 RB1 had an explosive stat line in a win against Academy Force as he rushed 4 times for 115 yards and 3 TDs in the massive win.

10) Austan Orvedahl (Duluth East) RB. 2023- The Preseason All-Stater popped off for 30 rushes - 271 yards - and 3 TDs as the Greyhounds beat Cambridge-Isanti 35-26.

11) Marcus Whiting (Centennial) FB. 2024. - The Centennial Cougars thumper popped off vs. Park and totaled 21 rushes for 143 yards and 4 TDs in the win.
