Some of these prospects have turned into household names on the recruiting trail, while some are still waiting for their opportunities. Here, we take a look at several prospects that don’t have big-time offers but should.
Jailen Taylor Jailen Taylor 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Kennesaw Mountain | 2023 State GA – WR – 2023 – Kennesaw Mountain
Despite being one of the best athletes in the state, Taylor is often an overlooked prospect on the recruiting trail. Part of that could be having to play alongside Cayden Lee Cayden Lee 5'11" | 150 lbs | WR Hillgrove | 2023 State GA , one of the best receivers in the country, but Taylor has made a name for himself as well. As a junior, he was one of the most explosive receivers in the state, averaging over 32 yards per catch. While his senior year numbers might not equal those of last season, Taylor is still producing at a high level and is flashing plenty of playmaking ability. Taylor is quite simply one of the fastest players in the state. He has legit 4.3 speed and is an extremely smooth runner as well. To go along with his speed, he is also twitchy and has good lateral movement, which allows him to create space for himself as a route runner. He is mostly used on the outside, where he can outrun the defense and be a threat in the deep game, but he does have the tools and skillset to be productive in the middle of the field. Along with his speed, he shows great concentration when reeling in the ball, often making beautiful over-the-shoulder grabs and snagging the ball while off-balanced. Taylor already has numerous GO5 offers, but he is certainly a prospect that could play at an even higher level.
Jeremy Hecklinski Jeremy Hecklinski 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Walton | 2024 State GA – QB – 2024 – Walton
There should be no more questions as to whether or not Hecklinski is a legit QB prospect. Not only has he proven that he can lead the Walton offense, but he could also be the most valuable player in the entire state. I have been extremely high on Hecklinski for a while, and everything I have said prior to this season is starting to come to fruition. There is not a throw that Hecklinski can’t make. He has a rocket arm and can launch the ball into tight windows, he can also put plenty of air under the ball and allow his receivers to run under it. Hecklinski has a bit of a longer release, but the ball flies out of his hand and is usually right on the money. Hecklinski is not afraid to make tightly contested throws which shows the confidence he possesses. Hecklinski has all the tools and shows the ability to attack all three levels of the field. Right now, Georgia Southern and UCF are his major offers, but I am expecting some P5 schools to get in the mix before all is said and done.
Bryce Clavon Bryce Clavon 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Kell | 2024 State GA – QB – 2024 – Kell
Clavon, even with just a Western Kentucky offer, is one of the most noteworthy athletes in the entire state. Even before the season, Clavon was making headlines as a major MLB draft prospect. Clavon has made it known that he wants to play football at the next level, which has thrown a lot of attention in his direction. Even with the eyes on him, Clavon has responded well. On the year, Clavon has accounted for over 2100 total yards of offense and 25 TDs. He has also been efficient and reliable, completing 70% of his passes and not turning the ball over much. Clavon does an outstanding job of sensing pressure and extending the play. On the run, he is a very accurate passer, showing off some of that arm strength that has made him a notable baseball prospect. With his awareness, dual-threat ability, and pure pedigree, Clavon has solidified himself as a must-get prospect. The offers are still waiting to roll in, but MAJOR programs have been in touch.
Bryce Hicks Bryce Hicks 5'9" | 170 lbs | RB Carrollton | 2024 State GA – RB – 2024 – Carrollton
Bryce Hicks Bryce Hicks 5'9" | 170 lbs | RB Carrollton | 2024 State GA has quietly been one of the best backs in Georgia for two years now. As he is in the midst of his second elite season at the high school level, there are major programs entering the picture like Auburn and Vanderbilt. Still, for now, he is an under-the-radar prospect that is just waiting to explode onto the national picture. Hicks is having an outstanding year on the ground, approaching 1000 yards and running it in 10 times on the year. One thing he has shown more of this year is his physicality and the ability to run between the tackles. If he can continue to showcase that attribute, he will truly be a complete running back. Along with his rushing ability, Hicks has emerged as one of the top targets for Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA , one of the best QBs in the country. Hicks has 380 receiving yards and 5 TDs, already surpassing his receiving numbers from a year ago. Hicks is an extremely dangerous weapon at the RB position, and I have a feeling that schools might regret passing up on him a few years from now. He has several GO5 offers, but I believe he will see some P5 opportunities come his way.
Devin Henderson – ATH – 2024 – Cass
Henderson is a versatile athlete that makes plays all over the field at WR and DB, and even spent a part of his career at the QB position. At receiver, he is extremely dangerous with the ball in his hands. You would have trouble tackling him in a phone booth. His ability to change direction and weave around would-be tacklers makes him dangerous after the catch but also makes him an efficient route runner. At DB, he also shows some promise. Playing mostly at S, his speed allows him to come downfield, and he is a polished tackler that holds his own physically. I am not sure where Henderson will end up playing at the next level, but I do know he is a gifted athlete that will contribute wherever he lines up.
Quavion Cooper Quavion Cooper 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB Manchester | 2025 State GA – RB – 2025 – Wheeler
As a freshman, Allen was a productive runner who had emerged as one of the best 2025 backs in the state. Yet, I am not sure anyone expected him to have the season he is currently having. Allen is approaching 1400 rushing yards on the season and has rushed it in 14 times while averaging nearly 9 YPC. The Wheeler standout is a patient and decisive runner that runs with discipline. He has short bursts of explosiveness and can change direction quickly, which allows him to create separation. When comparing this season to last, it looks like he is able to bounce off tacklers and fight for extra yards more this time around, which adds a whole other element to his game. Allen has shown tremendous growth after just a year, and yet still has more room for improvement. Keep an eye out for Allen these next few weeks, as I believe he could blast onto the radar if he can close out the season strong.
Caleb Bell Caleb Bell 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Milton | 2025 State GA – DL – 2025 – St. Francis
Bell is one of our highest-rated GA defensive linemen in the 2025 class, but I think he could have an argument to be the best in the state before all is said and done. He already has great size at around 6’3 250, and will likely be even bigger before all is said and done. Bell is clearly the most physically dominant player in every game he plays. He bulldozed through anyone in front of him and can launch blockers out of the way with his extremely violent hands. To go along with his physicality, he is also incredibly fast and explosive off the snap, which allows him to get after the QB with ease. On the year, he is sitting around 10 sacks. Bell is one of the best-kept secrets in the state, and it is a matter of time before the secret is out.
Brodie McWhorter – QB – 2026 – Cass
McWhorter appeared on the radar at our Prep Redzone Next camp this spring, and since then, he has solidified himself as one of the premier 2026 passers in the state. At around 6’1 180, he already has a great frame, but will continue to add more size as he gets older. When it comes to arm talent, McWhorter is one of the best in the state across any class. He has a quick release and can pick apart defenses in the short and intermediate passing game. He also is able to throw a catchable deep ball with plenty of touch. There is not a throw on the field that McWhorter is not capable of making. His ability to stand in the pocket and take hits is one quality he possesses that is beyond his age. The Cass offense has been operating at a high level with McWhorter in control. If he can continue to show promise into next year, then I expect his stock to start rising.
