Taylor has been putting together a heck of a Junior campaign on his way to being one of the top defensive backs across Sacramento. He is a very technically sound player with good hips in transition, ball skills and natural instincts while physical in press coverage. Possessing elite speed, he snatched an impressive 3-picks against Cosumnes Oaks and should draw college interest this off-season.
QB Luke Baker Luke Baker 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB San Ramon Valley | 2024 State CA , San Ramon Valley HS
Baker has been flying under the radar over the past couple years in the shadows of Jack Quigly, but those who have seen him throw this off-season and are aware of his development knew that he would have a big time breakout season this Fall for the Wolves. He is a elite talent that sees the entire field quickly and can process information at a high rate while never making bad decisions and throws his receivers open across the field. Possessing a quick release, he is not afraid to throw out-breaking routes and takes what is given at the second and third level while also able to throw on the run across his body without giving up zip on the ball. He shows toughness in the pocket and will stand tall to deliver a ball and take a shot if needed. This past week, he erupted for 426 yards and 4 touchdowns against Elk Grove in a big time win against a top tier opponent.
WR Scott Lyon, Campolindo HS
Lyon is one of the better emerging receivers across the Bay Area this season. He snagged the game winning TD reception Friday night against a tough and well coached Windsor squad as time expired. He is a sure handed weapon that can run various routes and has under-rated speed downfield.
RB Ellis Burger, Acalanes HS
Burger is one of the more balanced and physical backs across the bay Area. He is a very angry runner that gets behind his pads, has good lean and finishes runs with toughness. Strong through the hole with contact balance and some first and second level speed, he rushed for over 100 yards again last week and is a big piece in this explosive Acalanes offense.
ATH A’jhuan Parker, Alameda HS
Parker is a dynamic weapon for Alamada and makes plays from all over the field on both sides of the ball. He had 5 total touchdowns last week against Mills in their win. He is a next level player that should draw D-III+ interest as he progresses through his Senior season.
