Here we take a look at 20 of the best performances in the first two weeks from Washington underclassmen. There are obviously other athletes not acknowledged on the line, defense etc... as much of the list is statistically based. Check it..

[player_tooltip player_id='115328' first='Brayden' last='Platt'] RB/LB Jr. Yelm- The 6-2 230 pound 4* recruit and his team are on a completely different level right now. In the first two weeks he has accounted for 398 all purpose yards and 8 TDs, while averaging 11.7 yards per carry. The scoreboard speaks for itself with traditional state powers Camas (44-6) and Union (46-14) both getting blasted in consecutive weeks, by a combined score of 90-20.

[player_tooltip player_id='158404' first='Luvens' last='Valcin'] WR Jr. / [player_tooltip player_id='155609' first='Lateibreon' last='Chandler'] Slot WR- Auburn- The 6-3 wideout has been lights out his first two weeks, catching 26 passes for 311 yards, while going (1-1) as a team. His big play ability is off the charts. Chandler is shifty as all get out, and had 12 receptions for 129 yards and 2 TDs in the 41-20 win over Mercer Island.

Brady Beaner S/ATH So. Anacortes- Both of the Beaner kids have excelled early, with Brady putting together an unreal defensive performance in Week 1 versus Oak Harbor. He had 12 total tackles, 2 INTs, 2 tfl's, and a forced fumble in the 35-7 win.

[player_tooltip player_id='115335' first='Jason' last='Brown'] RB Jr. O'Dea- Not surprisingly one of the nation's best was the difference maker in O'Dea's come from behind 21-13 win over Bothell. His 198 yards and 2 TDs were just a glimpse of what he will do in the years ahead.

De'arius Hawkins So. DB Spanaway Lake- Another 2025 athlete who came up clutch last week. His 10 total tackles and 1 PBU was instrumental in the teams 17-14 win over Mount Si.

[player_tooltip player_id='915362' first='Grady' last='Woodward'] WR Jr. Eastlake- The 6-3 195 pound UW Baseball commit had a breakout performance to start the year, catching 9 passes for 129 yards and 3TDS, in a back and forth 35-32 win over Union.

[player_tooltip player_id='348140' first='D'Aryhian' last='Clemons'] CB/RB So. Spanaway Lake- One of the best overall players in WA for 2025 carried 17 times for 135 yards in the opener, also playing some clutch D in last weeks 17-14 win over Mount Si.

[player_tooltip player_id='115330' first='Malachi' last='Durant'] WR Jr. Puyallup- Durant is one of the best in the West for 2024 and was key in the 30-13 win over GK. He caught 4 passes for 98 yards and a TD, giving him 10 receptions and 2 touchdowns on the year.

Trenton Swanson WR Jr. Camas- The super talented 6-1 185 pound receiver responded nicely after the Yelm contest, catching 5 passes for 128 yards and 2 TDs (27,71), in the 28-34 loss to Glacier Peak.

[player_tooltip player_id='206282' first='Matthew' last='Spurbeck'] RB Jr. Sumner- This kid showed up big in the teams 35-28 win over Curtis in Week 2, rushing 21 times for 143 yards and 2 TDs. For the second week in a row Sumner won by 1 score. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1563413' first='Steele' last='Isaacs'] also got in the mix carrying 12 times for 69 yards. The Spartans have to feel good about their underclass backs.

Caden Dobrinski WR/DB So. Union- Expect to hear the name often as Dobrinski is only a sophomore. The 6-0 180 pound wideout caught 8 passes for 95 yards and a TD in the teams 35-32 loss to Eastlake.

[player_tooltip player_id='115343' first='Jake' last='Schakel'] QB Jr. Emerald Ridge- One of the top QB's in the region has been consistent and looked good early, hitting on 67% of his passes for 466 yards and 6 TDs/ 1 INT, in the first 2 games.

[player_tooltip player_id='338830' first='Sam' last='Merriman'] RB Jr. Bishop Blanchet- Merriman went nuts in the teams opener rushing 16 times for 274 yards and 4 TDs in 38-28 win over Redmond. They were humbled last week versus O'Dea 54-10.

Elan Gotel DB/ATH So. Mercer Island- The future seems bright at Mercer even with the (0-2) start. Gotel caught 8 passes for 88 yards and a TD in the 28-17 loss to Seattle Prep to start the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='115345' first='Blake' last='Springer'] QB 6-1 Jr. Monroe- The 3* recruit was 19 of 22 for 188 yards and 3 TDs in the opener, hitting on 86% of his passes in the 56-14 win over Roosevelt Week 1. The Bearcats are now (2-0).

[player_tooltip player_id='158332' first='EJ' last='Caminong'] QB Jr. Garfield /[player_tooltip player_id='338854' first='Armani' last='Inprasit'] Slot Jr. - The Bulldogs have looked good early going 2-0 with that nice 26-16 win over Lake Stevens. This past week Caminong hit on 11 of 13 passes for 324 yards and 3 TDs, with teammate Inprasit making 5 grabs for 141 and a touchdown. They are now 2-0 after beating Roosevelt 56-3.

[player_tooltip player_id='158402' first='Daveon' last='Superales'] Jr. QB/ Noah Flores So. TE Graham Kapowsin- GK got handed a definitive loss by Puyallup, but they have a host of young talent which was on display Week 1 in the 56-0 win over Rogers. Superales went 13-16 with 242 passing yards and 3 TDs. Look for Flores to blow up in the coming months, with him catching 3 balls for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Zaveon Jones RB Jr. Mountlake Terrace- Also a talented basketball kid Jones has had an outstanding first couple weeks, leading the state in multiple statistical categories. Week 1 he rushed 28 times for 235 yards and 4 TDs in the teams 39-13 win over Jackson.

Rex Larson QB Jr. Anacortes- Keep an eye on the junior QB as he has excelled over the first 2 weeks, passing for 636 yards (74% com pct) and 5 TDs/0 INTS. Anacortes is (2-0) beating their opponents by a combined score of 92-7.
