Williams is proving to be a force, leading the state in TD’s with 14. Williams is a newcomer RB at Milford Mill who is letting his name be known. He averages 10 yards per carry and 155 yards per game. He has a very smooth and fluent running style with deceptional straight line speed. He doesn’t use useless cuts and jukes to get away from defenders, he runs north and south. His one cut jukes and hop step jukes are sudden and quick leaving defenders grasping for air. Williams is on track to lead Baltimore County in all rushing categories.
Smothers is a prototype running back. He has size at 5’11 215, can make defenders miss without losing speed and is strong on contact. He averages 197 yards per game which is one heck of a stat, leading the state in yards per game. He’s recorded 10 rushing touchdowns, 1 receiving and 1 kick return for a score. In a 38-25 Win over Parkside Smothers rushed for an impressive 314 yards and 5 touchdowns. Smothers currently has 1 offer from Army. If coaches weren’t put on notice by Smothers 2021 performance, they should be on alert now as he is on his way to having another dominant season.
Talented class of 2024 athlete out of Calvert HS. Wallace proves his worth on both sides of the ball, he averages 119 yards per game. He currently has 10 rushing touchdown and a crazy interception TD, where he blitzed off the edge and jumped to pluck the ball right out of the air. Athleticism is no short coming for Wallace, he’s shifty put packs a punch; he gains positive yards after contact and flies around on defense. In his game against Stone he recorded a career high 4 TDs and rushed for 177 yards. Defensively Wallace has recorded 19 tackles, 2 INT’s and 1 sack. This TD leader is definitely a 2024 that should be on your radar.
Christian Rawlings
Rawlings is a sleeper that I’ve had an eye on since Maryland Heat 14U. After transferring from DC powerhouse St. Johns to MD public school power Wise, Rawlings finally got the opportunity he deserved and is making the best of it. I’ve had the opportunity to see Chris play in multiple 7on7 tournaments last off season with Most Wanted 7v7 out of DC/PG county. He’s a versatile weapon to have that can be your starting RB and line up in the slot and run routes just as good as a receiver. He’s an aggressive ball carrier and has a durable build that will carry over into college very well. Rawlings has recorded 10 total TD’s, 9 rushing and 1 receiving. In his last game he scored an eye catching 5 TD’s with 146 rush yards to help lead the pumas over Oxon Hill.
Noah Cornish
Cornish is the most elusive and slippery player mentioned here in this article. He can make a defender miss in a phone booth and can change direction in the blink of an eye. Noah has rushed for over 100 yards and scored 2+ touchdowns in every game this season giving him a total of 10, tied for 5th in the state. This electric athlete is just a Junior so we’ll get another full year to see Cornish develop, keep an eye on Cornish to burst onto the recruiting scene if he can keep this performance up.
