2025 6'4 190 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] - Spalding

As Archbishop Spalding absolutely dismantled Calvert Hall 42-7 last weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] continues to make headlines non-stop. Washington put up phenomenal numbers again in this contest, going 23/39 passing with 292 yards passing and 3 touchdown passes. Even with an interception, Washington finished the day with a 97.4 QBR, and he also added 15 yards rushing and a touchdown with his legs. There's no question that [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] has been the top performing quarterback in the MIAA so far this season, and his connection with WR [player_tooltip player_id='251380' first='Maxwell' last='Moss'] is second to no other duo in the entire DMV. The Spalding Sophomore QB is playing lights-out championship football this season, and he will certainly continue to do so this weekend against Pallotti this Friday @7PM Eastern.

2023 6'0 185 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='251380' first='Maxwell' last='Moss'] - Spalding

Max Moss remains one of the top wide receiver prospects in the nation after an incredible performance against Pallotti. Moss put up 101 yards on 7 receptions, and he also added 2 touchdowns. His first touchdown, in particular, was eye-opening because Moss ran a button hook route in the end zone to perfection, and he hauled in the short pass for the touchdown. His ability to find the open space with his route running is very special, and Moss has displayed that kind of top tier route running ability in every game he has played in this season. [player_tooltip player_id='251380' first='Maxwell' last='Moss'] is a very special receiver, and, alongside his quarterback and longtime friend, he and Spalding have a real chance to accomplish something special this year. Watch Spalding this Friday @4PM Eastern against Pallotti.

2023 5'10 180 RB - Hakim Simms - Spalding

Hakim Simms was the heart and soul of this Archbishop Spalding team during their 35 point blowout win, and his numbers from this game truly speak for themselves. Simms rushed 24 times for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns, but, more than that, he was the heartbeat of this team from the very first snap. Simms is a power runner who thrives in the red zone. His yards after contact were off the charts in this game as well, and there's no doubt that Simms is having his best season yet. He's using his experience to his advantage, and he never wastes a carry. Hakim Simms should absolutely be on scouts' radars because he's having a stellar year, and he possesses a ton of next level potential.

2023 5'11 195 LB - PJ Poknis - Spalding

PJ Poknis played a career game against Calvert Hall, and the most impressive thing about his performance was how he thrived on both sides of the ball. While Poknis only had one reception for five yards, that reception was for a touchdown that put Spalding up by twenty points. He won his matchup clean on a very smooth route, and he was able to haul in the pass from [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] for the score. Ironically, Poknis also hauled in a pass from the opposing quarterback, Calvert Hall's [player_tooltip player_id='90649' first='Noah' last='Brannock'], when he intercepted Brannock in the red zone late in the second quarter. PJ Poknis made two of the most impactful plays in the game, and he is clearly one of the leaders of this football team. PJ Poknis also possesses a lot of potential, and he'll look to continue his high level of play on Friday against Pallotti @7PM Eastern.

2023 5'9 170 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='247514' first='Donovan' last='Lewis'] - Calvert Hall

Donovan Michael Lewis was all over the field in this game, and he was absolutely the star performer for the Cardinals. He hauled in 6 receptions for 92 yards and Calvert Hall's only touchdown. It's clear that he has great chemistry with his classmate and QB [player_tooltip player_id='90649' first='Noah' last='Brannock'], and there's no question that this phenomenal relationship will pay dividends for the Calvert Hall offense as the season continues. [player_tooltip player_id='247514' first='Donovan' last='Lewis'] is a very solid slot receiver with a lot of upside, and scouts must keep an eye on him moving forward. The Senior wide receiver plays again this Saturday at home against La Salle @1PM Eastern.
