Owyhee 7 – Eagle 27

Eagle is starting to roll this season as they have found some continuity on offense. Especially when it comes to getting the football to [player_tooltip player_id='336840' first='Ian' last='Duarte'] their dynamic slot receiver who can do it all for the Mustangs. In back-to-back weeks Duarte has been the shining star for the Mustangs but in reality, it was the defense that got them a big win against the Storm. Holding the Storm to just 127 yards of total offense the Mustang defense has really come on and is a force to be reckoned with. The Storm on the other hand have lost two straight but it to the leagues perennial powers in Mountain View and Eagle. The biggest thing for the Storm is that everyone can see the improvement from last year. They are a different team with weapons all over the field and are only going to keep getting better as they are still the youngest team in the league.

Kuna 23 – Nampa 45

Nampa continues to show that they can flat-out run the football. Daniel Carrillo had a huge night for the Bulldogs rushing for 161 yards on 26 carries while others like quarterback Gabe Navarro (8-12 218yds) and wide receiver Dante Avjian (5 rec 192 yards) also had huge nights. What stood out in this game is Nampa's defense that pitched a second half shut out of one of the top scoring offenses in the state. Lead by players like Ethan Kincheloe who had a defensive touchdown and [player_tooltip player_id='336848' first='Payton' last='Gunter'] the Idaho commit the Bulldogs are in a groove. Kuna has struggled in the last weeks but has played quality opponents getting a big overtime win vs Borah but losing to Eagle. They are still one of the most potent offenses in the state and scrappy on defense but now go into the bye week looking to regroup before they take on Mountain View.

Sandpoint 28 – Homedale 21

Sandpoint was able to jump out to an early lead against Homedale in a battle of two top level programs. Led by quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='403758' first='Parker' last='Pettit'] who had 320 yards passing on the night Sandpoint was able to hold off a late Homedale rally to secure the victory. Homedale is one of the most talented teams in the state especially behind the three headed monster that is Jaxon Dines (QB), Trenton Fisher (RB) and [player_tooltip player_id='336883' first='Mason' last='Strong'] (WR). Look for Homedale to bounce back quickly as they still have everything ahead of them this week.

Madison 42 – Thunder Ridge 7

Madison was able to come away with another big win behind their do it all quarterback Ben Dredge who had 235 yards rushing on the night along with going 17-20 in the passing game. Madison has now score 87 points in their last two games this season after starting off slow on offense. Utilizing a spread offense that usually has 5 wide receivers on the field Madison can score quickly and efficiently. Thunder Ridge has lost two straight but they are to defending state champions Skyline and Madison a 5A playoff team from last year. Look for them to battle against Middleton this week in a big game at home.

Bishop Kelly 49 – Lake City 14

Bishop Kelly continues to dominate this year and it's no surprise they did it again this week. BK has been almost unstoppable on the season as they continue to control the game on offense and make every team, they play earn it via their defense. Lake City has struggled early on this season losing 3 out of its first four games but they get Moscow this week and will look to bounce back as they still can turn it around down the stretch.

Owyhee 7 – Eagle 27
