Game Report: Elkhorn @ Bennington

Before the game Elkhorn was 3-1 having their only loss to Gross Catholic. No score for the first half of the first quarter. Bennington's strong run game was just halted the entire first quarter by the defensive line of Elkhorn. [player_tooltip player_id='1029594' first='Collin' last='Hinkle'], Jaxson Ninete and [player_tooltip player_id='226959' first='Aidan' last='Betz'] stood out to me as the main guys who were stopping the Bennington Offense throughout the first half of the game. With 6:18 left in the first quarter [player_tooltip player_id='239885' first='KJ' last='Schenck'] would punch it in for the score getting Elkhorn up 7-0. Both teams would go back and forth like some boxers in the ring. Bennington would get onto the board quickly with [player_tooltip player_id='239876' first='Isaac' last='Conner'] going up and taking a PI as he caught the ball in the Endzone. The Badgers would then take the ball away and score again getting the score up to 7-13. Halftime is where the game really changed. The Badgers would go on a huge streak., they would go on a 21 point run. Elkhorn and Bennington would score a few more times. Together they were able to hold Bennington close the entire second half.
