1st Quarter Key Plays

Bedford running back Owen Przbylski had a nice catch for big yardage early in the 1st quarter. Bedford quarterback Lucas Gerber ran the ball well all night and had a nice run with just over 8 minutes in the 1st quarter. Dexter safety Micah Davis made some great open-field tackles for Dexter.

2nd Quarter Key Plays

Dexter quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='243465' first='Reeves' last='Taylor'] found tight end [player_tooltip player_id='30328' first='Brennan' last='Parachek'] for a big play through the air that setup Dexter in the Redzone. Dexter running back [player_tooltip player_id='162655' first='Cole' last='Cabana'] scored a 2-yard touchdown to give Dexter a 7-0 lead with 6:43 left before halftime. [player_tooltip player_id='162655' first='Cole' last='Cabana'] had a 30-plus yard touchdown reception with 3:54 remaining to give Dexter a 14-0 lead. Micah Davis had an interception with 2:13 left before halftime.

3rd Quarter Key Plays

[player_tooltip player_id='162655' first='Cole' last='Cabana'] had a 60 plus touchdown run to put Dexter up 21-0. [player_tooltip player_id='162655' first='Cole' last='Cabana'] also had a 15-yard touchdown run with 8:31 remaining to give Dexter a 27-0 lead. Bedford running back Tyler Boerst had a 40 plus yard run to setup their offense at the Dexter 2-yard line.
More Players That Stoodout

Dexter cornerback Gerzon Herter did a great job in coverage. He is great in zone coverage and will come up and make tackles. Herter is a good football player and I enjoy watching him play.

Dexter safety Micah Davis finished with 15 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 pass breakup. I had not seen Davis' tape prior to this game and I came away very impressed with Davis (Hudl). I love how well he breaks on the football. He is an outstanding tackler who gets the proper angle and then flys downhill to make great form tackles.

I like how the Dexter coaching staff will play him almost in the box to take advantage of his run support ability. [player_tooltip player_id='162655' first='Cole' last='Cabana'] and [player_tooltip player_id='30328' first='Brennan' last='Parachek'] get most of the praise on this team and rightfully so. I get a feeling that if Dexter makes a deep playoff run this year, Micah Davis playmaking ability on defense will be a key part of that.

Bedford defensive end Thomas Huss had some nice tackles for Bedford. He is a good football player who has made a lot of plays for Bedford that last couple years. Bedford cornerback Luke Davis did a great job in coverage for Bedford. Davis is a great athlete who can play man and zone coverage very well.

Next Week Bedford will travel to play Ann Arbor Huron who hold a 1-2 record currently. Dexter will play Ypsilanti Lincoln at home who currently stand at 1-2 on the year.
