Continue ReadingWeek Two gave us playmakers in every form. We have representatives from the Class of 2023, 2024, and 2025. We also have athletes who play on the DL, LB, and in the defensive backfield. The stats are crazy as well; numbers that of course put them in this article. Numbers like 4 INTs, or 14 tackles. One of the athletes made the list after just his second career high school football game. There is a lot to get into this week, so let’s get started!
Stats: 4 Tackles, 2 Pass BreakupsrnThe 5’9″ 155 lbs CB had a solid game against a talented Waukesha South passing attack. Marquis is a willing and able tackler out in space. He plays bigger than his size when making tackles. Where he wrapped up receivers is where the play ended. He also proved to have the speed to get deep with receivers as well as pursue them across the field with correct pursuit angles. His awareness in zone coverage helped him make an impressive pass breakup as well. He read the QB looking deep so he left his man and kept running to get to the catch point and break up the catch.

Stats: 8 Tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 SackrnThe 6’2″ 220 lbs DE/OLB has put together a strong first two weeks of his junior season. His athleticism stands out from the crowd in his Week Two film. Demarcus proved his range to make plays out in space, and chase down the ball. He has a high motor as well that helped him fight through multiple blocks to get pressure on the QB. I also like what I saw from Damarcus’ hand usage. He is still developing moves, but he was active with them to get hands down allowing him to beat blocks. Chappell has definitely made a jump in his development since last fall.

Ben Healy
Ben Healy
Stats: 4 Tackles, 4 INTsrnHard to believe that this was only the second game of Ben’s high school career. The senior decided to come out and play for a strong Hudson team, and he has made his presence felt early. The 6’3″ 185 lbs DB has elite length for the position. The DB has an impressive, natural ability to read the play as it unfolds. He is so inexperienced that we are seeing his natural talents shine through. His ball skills are natural as well; making it look easy as he hauls in INT after INT. He has a nose for the ball, and a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
Stat: 14 Tackles, 1 Scoop & ScorernThe 6′ 185 lbs LB was all over the field making tackles against the Johnson Creek run game. He quickly found the ball, and closed on it to make the stop. He lined up primarily at ILB, and avoided blocks to get to the ball quickly. It was a productive night that has put him in the Top 15 for tackles in WI. I believe Duncan could be a potential D3 prospect. Check out the weekly highlights.

Khadin Williamson
Khadin Williamson
Stats: 4 TacklesrnThe stats aren’t insane, but the film shows a lot of upside and potential in the 6’1″ sophomore NG. Khadin is light on his feet. He jumps forward out of his stance, and he can breakdown and slide down the line of scrimmage to get to the ball. Williamson has active hands that keep him clean, as well as an effective swim move. I’m excited to see where the young man debuts in the rankings at the end of the season. There is a lot to work with based off his Week Two highlights.
Stats: 14 TacklesrnThe 6’1″ 205 lbs LB is at his more natural position of LB. His lateral agility jumps off early in the tape as he uses that to get himself squared up with the ball carrier so he can make the tackle in the hole. He keeps himself square allowing himself to take on those tackle attempts, and blocks with his full strength. His high motor and sufficient speed for the position add to his overall solid size, and athleticism. I’m excited to see where he ends up when I rank him as an LB later this fall.
Stats: 13 Tackles, 2 TFLsrnThis is a great game to see the stud underclassman’s current development. His opponent fields arguably the best OL in WI. Despite that, Cooper was able to consistently find his way to the ball to make stops. His ability to ind the ball, even when they used misdirection, was special. He is strong and stout against the run, and he can run through block attempts. Cooper does a great job of reading the flow of the linemen and puts himself in position to be able to meet the ball carrier at the line. Catalano is holding firm to his LB1 ranking in the Class of 2025. Talent and production is going to lead to some impressive film cutups for the young playmaker.
