The Sea View League is the brother league of the South Coast League and features four public schools in South Orange County.

Every two years, the top Sea View League team gets promoted to the South Coast League and the bottom South Coast League team moves down to the Sea View League.

The Sea View League was arguably the most balanced league in the county last season. Here is a look at the top players and teams in the Sea View League this season.

ALISO NIGUEL

Top players: Jack Gill, RB/LB, Sr.; Chad DeSilva, LB, Sr.; [player_tooltip player_id='147763' first='Hunter' last='Najm'], QB, Jr.; CJ Besuzzi, LB, Sr.; Luke Guttenberg, DE/OL, Sr.; Jarret Sabol, WR, So.

Outlook: Aliso Niguel is one of those teams with a good mixture of seniors and underclassman. The team is looking for its first playoff appearance under head coach Mike Calahan. Chad DeSilva and CJ Besuzzi are big lacrosse players who will lead the linebacking corps. They can blitz effectively and stop the run. Luke Guttenberg is a 6-foot-5 baseball player who is playing football for the first time and will see some playing time at defensive end and right tackle. The secondary has some athletic players in Damon Anderson and [player_tooltip player_id='273671' first='Marcus' last='Macabitas']. [player_tooltip player_id='147763' first='Hunter' last='Najm'] is a promising quarterback who has been getting some college attention but needs some more playing time to develop. The Wolverines do not have big name receivers, but look for sophomore Jarret Sabol to be a quality slot guy and Ayden Sanchez to get a lot of targets when he comes eligible midseason. Jack Gill is a guy the coaching staff is high on and Ashton Hughes is a big sophomore center that I am high on.

El Toro

Top players: Josh Vivonia, WR/DB, Sr.; [player_tooltip player_id='398474' first='Nick' last='Brown'], OL, Jr.; Thomas Frum, RB/DB, Sr.; Derrick Ford, DL, Sr.; Clay Cafferty, LB, Sr.

Outlook: El Toro lost a ton of talent from last season but has some good players returning that just lack experience. They made a nice run in the Huntington Beach passing tournament with only one returning receiver and defensive back. Josh Vivonia is the clear best player on the team and had six interceptions last season. Thomas Frum is a running back with potential who came on strong at the end of last season. [player_tooltip player_id='398474' first='Nick' last='Brown'] leads the offensive line and is getting some college looks. Ben Armendariz is expected to be the quarterback after transferring from Tustin. Mehki Mitchell has looked good in passing league and may be a good option as the No. 2 receiver for the Chargers. El Toro will have to count on a lot of inexperienced players to step up but they are well-coached and got a good taste of winning last season.

SAN JUAN HILLS

Top players: [player_tooltip player_id='155848' first='Weston' last='Port'], LB, So.; Michael "Butter" Tollefson, QB, So.; [player_tooltip player_id='384776' first='Brayden' last='Bockler'], TE/DE, Sr.; Ryan MacDougall, OL, Sr.; [player_tooltip player_id='338341' first='Enzo' last='Benzan'], OL/DL, Sr.; Chris Pioche, DB, Sr.

Outlook: San Juan Hills is the heavy favorite to win this league after beating its two Sea View League opponents last season by a score of 108-26. The two sophomore superstars are the focal point of this team but they have a talented senior class as well. [player_tooltip player_id='155848' first='Weston' last='Port'] is the No. 6 overall player and No. 1 linebacker in the 2025 class according to the Prep Redzone rankings. Port has offers from Georgia, Michigan and Ohio State among others. Tollefson is the No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 class according to the Prep Redzone rankings with offers from Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M among others. [player_tooltip player_id='384776' first='Brayden' last='Bockler'] was buried behind three Division 1 receivers last season but will get his chance to be the top target this season. Ryan MacDougall had a great showing at the Allegiance camp in June and may be the best offensive lineman in this league. San Juan Hills should walk through this league and return to the playoffs.

TRABUCO HILLS

Top players: Will Burns, QB, Sr.; Lucas Short, DB, Jr.; Henry Sturn, DL, Sr.; Oscar Gameros, DL, Sr.; Chris Padilla, WR, Sr.; Ben Holland, DB/WR, Jr.; [player_tooltip player_id='270322' first='Liam' last='Kugler'], OL, Jr.

Outlook: Trabuco Hills is likely the favorite to be the second place team in this league because of its quarterback Will Burns. Burns is a true dual threat quarterback with a ton of upside who is committed to Texas Tech for baseball and football. He rushed for 9 touchdowns last season and had one of the most clutch performances of the season against Tesoro. His top target Chris Padilla is back and other receivers Ben Holland and Derek Fishel are guys the coaches are high on. The defensive front is a strength of the team with wrestler Henry Sturn and the team's leading return tackler in Oscar Gameros. Junior Lucas Short is one of the top corners in this league and has excellent ball skills. [player_tooltip player_id='270322' first='Liam' last='Kugler'] had a great showing at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January and could be a leader of this offensive line.
