The one thing that jumps off the page for Pesci is his size standing at 6’6″ 215. Along with that, Pesci has a rocket arm and is able to lob up some very accurate deep balls.
Pesci is an interesting, very talented QB that has a chance to clean up his game and put everything together. On paper he’s the best, most experienced QB in the Blue, but he’ll have to touch up some fundementals and learn the game better in order for him to take that next step. I see his ceiling being MAC/Ivy League.rnHis offseason work alongside his already great foundation makes me confident in this coming season.
Ryan Shelby Ryan Shelby QB North Farmington | 2024 State MI is a dynamic dual-threat QB that needs to play to his strengths and become more consistent. There were times last season where Shelby was in a groove and couldn’t be stopped, and other times where Shelby made costly mistakes and looked like he was forcing things.
IQ and mental readiness is going to be key for him. It’s too inconsistent to go to OT against an eventual D1 State Runner-up, then lose to a 1-8 team the next week. I understand not all of that is on the QB, but Ryan Shelby Ryan Shelby QB North Farmington | 2024 State MI has amazing potential if he can find a way to be consistent.
Highlights
A QB I know little about, I assume Noah Oury Noah Oury 6’2″ | 200 lbs | QB Troy | 2025 State MI will be Troy’s starting QB this season. There isn’t much tape on Oury, but from his two highlights, he seemed to a above-average JV Quarterback that with a ton of effort this offseason could have a nice foundational year on Varsity this season.
Again, I’m not 100% sure if Oury will be leading the Colts this season, but if he does, I hope he’s put in the time, effort, and dedication needed to lead a D1 Varsity Football Team.
Running a Veer offense, I’m excited to see how Colton has improved this offseason. Colton was an all-OAA selection last season, and he ran the offense well, ran well, and threw the ball well, but it was apparent that there was room for improvement.
I’m curious to see how Colton has progressed as a ballcarrier, and if he’s shown improvement in a few weaker areas such as agility/elusiveness while holding onto some great traits such as fighting for extra yards. I’m also interested in seeing if Seaholm has a more prevalent passing attack, but of course, they run Veer.
Finally, I’m just looking for Colton and the Seaholm offense to do their jobs and play possession football. No silly mistakes. No horrible reads. NO TURNOVERS. Get 4-6 yards per carry the entire game and you’re golden.

*I could not find much information on the QB for Troy Athens.
Be on the lookout for more QB previews soon! I’ll be doing my best to cover the OAA throughout the season.
