Novi rosters in a veteran one, listed with 21 seniors, most who have been playing Varsity ball since they were sophomores. The Tigers came in with a younger group and fIlled with D1 recruited talent… Including 2025 #1 Ranked QB, Bryce Underwood Bryce Underwood 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Belleville | 2025 State MI . The Tiger’s are coming off a D1 State title last season and are on the hunt to defend that title. Here’s a summary on how the Friday night slug-fest went down.
The Cats started on this contest with rock… just to be held to a 3 and out by Belleville’s massive front 7. The Tigers’ came out the gates fast offensively with Sophomore Bryce Underwood Bryce Underwood 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Belleville | 2025 State MI absolutely slinging it, and capping off the first drive with a 6 yard Rushing TD. Cats struggled two move the ball with their second drive as well, giving the ball back to the Tigers with a time left in the 1st. Bryce was all airborne in the 2nd possession, finishing off the drive with an absolute dot from 22 yards out. Tigers up 14-0 after one.
The quarter was all defense from both teams, leaving the Tigers scoreless and the Wildcats earning a field goal with a few minutes before half time. Novi’s Senior QB, Luke Aurilia, was using his feet off zone reads to set up the 3 points. Aurilia ending the first half with 10 carries for 50 yards. Belleville’s Underwood, end the first half 9-11 135 yards and a TD through the air, as will as 3 carries for 30 and a TD on the ground. Tigers up 14-3 at the Half.
The second half belonged to the Tigers, Underwood continued to use his arm to attack the Cats adding another passing TD to his stats. The Tigers leaned on a couple RBs to get the job done on the ground. Tiger’s Junior RB, Jeremiah Beasley Jeremiah Beasley 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Belleville | 2024 State MI carried half the load earning himself a 17 yard TD on the ground, while Sophomore Malik Murrell, showed he was also a threat at TB. Novi’s offense relied heavy on the legs of QB Aurilia, as well as Senior RB, Martez Langford. Cat’s Senior, Cole Shires also played a big role offensively and defensively in Fridays night match-up. Late in the 4th quarter, Belleville 2025 Marquis Peoples, earned himself a pick six to add to the Tigers total.
The KLAA is one of the toughest conference in the State of Michigan and best believe a team for the KLAA with be at Ford Field come November.
