Our PrepRedzone Illinois Class of 23' Rankings just got updated after hours of film analysis and adding new young men to the rankings. This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We're here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let's take a look at Pt. 5 of our New Additions to the 23' Rankings.

Take a look at the FULL 23' Rankings Here!

[player_tooltip player_id='365360' first='Ryan' last='Hoeferle'] Twitter

Mr. Hoeferle is an X receiver that can run jet sweeps and uses once cut to go getting upfield quickly once he finds an alley. This young man has foot quicks to him where he can gain a step on the 2nd level defenders to have a big gain on a run play. What stands out about this young man is his ability to close the cushion on defenders playing in off coverage quickly and his ability to break the defender off at the top of the route. He does so by breaking down and getting in/out of his route quickly creating separation at the top of the route. This is mainly seen when he runs comebacks and curls. He also flashes his ability to go up for 50/50 balls to secure the contested catch. Overall, keep an eye on this young man as he could very well see his stock rise after his production this fall.

https://twitter.com/RyanHoeferle/status/1468418913117609987?s=20&t=yqV_0T1_sL8hmsDPoTgk9A

[player_tooltip player_id='363832' first='Ryan' last='Pothast'] Twitter

Mr. Pothast is an outside receiver that can play above the rim going up for 50/50 balls to secure contested catches over the defender. This young man also flashes his ability to work back to the ball as well as stalk blocking on the perimeter. What stands out about this young man is how big of a target he is for his quarterback as well as how he's not afraid to secure the catch in traffic. Overall, this young man has high potential heading into this fall season and I'm very interested to see how big of a role he has this fall.

https://twitter.com/RyanPothast/status/1515201312794808320?s=20&t=yqV_0T1_sL8hmsDPoTgk9A

[player_tooltip player_id='363869' first='Mark' last='Harris'] Twitter

Mr. Harris is a Z receiver that can gain the step advantage agains the defensive back to win over the top where he then tracks the ball well over his shoulder on deep shots downfield. This young man can secure the underneath route and get vertical quickly breaking a long run in the process. He can also line up in the slot that can work through traffic to find the open spot in coverage to be an outlet for his quarterback. What stands out the most about this young man is his foot quicks as he uses this to gash the opposing defense once the ball is in his hands. Overall, this young man is a playmaker that you need to have on your radar as his best ball is still ahead of him.

https://twitter.com/Mark_Harris6/status/1464624445016977409?s=20&t=yqV_0T1_sL8hmsDPoTgk9A

[player_tooltip player_id='365247' first='Colin' last='McDonough'] Highlights

Mr. McDonough can wash the defensive lineman down the line of scrimmage creating a running lane in the process. This is also seen when he's pulling as he can trap block the defensive tackle. In pass protection, he flashes his ability to mirror the rushing defender before he ties him up to keep the pocket clean for his quarterback. Overall, this young man has untapped potential yet to come to light and I'm very interested to see how he produces this fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id='365250' first='Justin' last='Obradovich'] Twitter

Mr. Obradovich is an outside receiver that can secure the curl and turn outside getting along the sideline to break a long run. He's not afraid to go up for 50/50 balls on contested catches and can line up at halfback where he runs seam routes to gash the middle of the defense. On defense, he lines up at safety here he can read the quarterback's eyes in the middle of th field to undercut routes for interceptions - if he doesn't come away with the interception he can make a play on the ball to force pass breakups. Let's not forget his ability to cover sideline to sideline either. Overall, this young man has potential on both sides of the ball and is one that I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this fall.

https://twitter.com/JustinObradovi1/status/1452352827041492997?s=20&t=yqV_0T1_sL8hmsDPoTgk9A

Be sure to follow @PRZJordan regarding news & information for Illinois High School Football as well as @PrepRedzoneIL.

Want to be ranked?
