Now as they look ahead to 2022, they have more experience in those situations and Mike Allen’s squad will be looking to turn the fortunes in their favor.
Everything starts for the Falcons offense with senior quarterback Carson Black Carson Black 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Nation Ford | 2023 State SC , who committed to the University of Memphis over the summer. He has a rocket arm and you can expect him to light up the scoreboard in 2022. He will have two reliable receivers as seniors Ja’Derrick Foster and Kenan Bowman return.
The receiving core will also have Robert Graham and Jordan Ussery, who are both listed at defensive back along with Braydon Flores, who is listed at tight end.
Jeremiah Hailstock is a name that no one knows a lot about, but 2022 could be a huge year for the junior running back.
The offensive and defensive lines will be senior led groups as Alan Minarro Alan Minarro 6'0" | 265 lbs | OL Nation Ford | 2023 State SC , Keleb Rhyne, De’Andre Simmons and Ameo Owen all return.
In the secondary, the Falcons will have a lot of two-way players that will play some defensive back and catch the ball at receiver. Could it be an advantage for them? Only time will tell.
Nation Ford’s 2022 schedule, just like everyone else, has shifted with the realignment that happened over the summer. They’ll be looking for revenge in the season opener against the team that beat them in last year’s season opener, Indian Land.
Other intriguing games in the non-region slate include York on August 26 and Northwestern on September 9. The region slate for the Falcons will be local as the longest trip they’ll have to make is to Columbia to face Spring Valley on October 21.
