Athletes from the class of 2026, 2027 and even a few 2028’s were split into 7-on-7 teams and took to the fields in the 100-degree weather. It was a very deep and talented field of talent–every athlete had to be invited to attend. With that said, below are the athletes that stood out specifically on Team Blast.
Amaren Sanders | Wide Receiver | Louisiana | 2026
Sanders is a prospect I’ve highlighted recently, and seeing him live for the first time, I walked away assured that his film and clips match the on-field play. He was a big play Wide Receiver that shined at times during pool play. He absolutely looked the part of an incoming freshman that could and should become one of the best in the Boot with a few more years of development.
Christopher Vargas Christopher Vargas 6'4" | 175 lbs | QB St. John's Prep | 2028 New E | Quarterback | Massachusetts | 2027
Scary to think that Vargas has another year of middle school ball to sharpen his schools before beginning his high school football journey. He has a long, wiry frame with plenty of room to add muscle and mass as he develops. Possesses unassuming athletic ability, as he’s also one of New England’s top basketball prospects too. Can make every throw asked of him on the field. Did a great job of putting zip on passes to the wide side of the field.
JaShon McIntyre JaShon McIntyre 5'8" | 140 lbs | ATH VA | Athlete | Virginia | 2026
McIntyre did a lot of very good things on both sides of the ball at The Show. Long term I think McIntyre is a great fit at Running Back and is currently deciding between Mt. Zion Prep, St. Frances Academy and IMG Academy for high school. With that said, I liked what be brought to the table as a Defensive Back at The Show. Played a very aggressive brand of Corner.
Jordan Figueroa Jordan Figueroa 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Fort Walton Beacvh Choctawhatchee | 2026 FL | Defensive Back | Florida | 2026
A thinner corner with long limbs that thrives in man coverage. Spent most of his youth career playing on an island and is happy there. Very fluid and instinctual. Understands the position at a deeper level than others at this level. Needs to put on some size and should be able to do that with time in the weight room. Currently can get muscled off the ball by bigger Receivers, but he’s always in good position.
Trent Wolpert Trent Wolpert 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Upper Arlington | 2026 State OH | Wide Receiver | Ohio | 2026
Wolpert was the second player to check-in the day before pool play and he told me his team was going to win it all. While that didn’t happen, the big play Wide Receiver was one of the top prospects there all week. Nearly 6-foot-1 and 176-pounds, Wolpert used his big frame to consistently get open. Was equally dangerous in 50/50 ball situations, as he was in goal-to-go situations. Ultimately ended up as one of the Team MVP(s).
Tyler Robinson | Athlete | Georgia | 2027
Of all the standouts at The Show, Robinson may have been the smallest, but he was also one of the most consistent. An eventual Team MVP, Robinson proved to be extremely dangerous in open space. Whether he lined up in the Slot or at Running Back, he was buckling knees all week. Sudden change of direction and vision were on another level. Unofficially finished with 16 receptions for six touchdowns.
Lebron Bauer | Athlete | Texas | 2026
Coming into The Show, Bauer told me to look out for him to ball out. While I get dozens of messages like that before any event I go to, Bauer delivered on his. He did a nice job at Wide Receiver, hauling in a handful of touchdown receptions. However, I liked what I saw on defense even more. After some early adjustments, coaches put Bauer in at a Safety and he started making plays. Confident kid who makes it loud and clear on the field, when he makes a big play.
