Next up in our look at each position after the 2024 rankings update, we take a look at the 2024 wide receivers. The receiver group in the class may be the strongest group of any position with eight receivers in our top 50 and 11 in our top 100. Let’s take a look t each.
1. [player_tooltip player_id="141010" first="Tyseer" last="Denmark"] | 5-foot-11, 180 | Roman Catholic
Denmark is an elite and special talent, nearly every skill would be considered a "plus" and his offer list proves just that as well. Alabama, Georgia, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, and Virginia Tech are among his early offers. Not only is he one of the top players in the state of Pennsylvania but he’s also one of the top overall talents in the country.
2. [player_tooltip player_id="255045" first="Rico" last="Scott"] | 6-foot-0, 185 | Bishop McDevitt
Scott is a player who’s seen a bit of a rise in his recruitment recently but has always been among Pennsylvania’s top talents. Over the last few months, the Bishop McDevitt wide receiver has added offers from Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin among the 15 programs that have offered him.
3. [player_tooltip player_id="141016" first="David" last="Washington Jr"] | 6-foot-0, 185 | St. Joes Prep
The first St. Joes Prep inclusion in the top-10 but certainly not the last, Washington Jr has emerged over the last year as a true top-end wide receiver talent. Boston College, Kentucky, Maryland, Penn State, Tennessee, and West Virginia are among his early offers.
4. [player_tooltip player_id="377028" first="Brandon" last="Rehmann"] | 6-foot-1, 180 | St. Joes Prep
Our second of three St. Joes Prep standouts, Rehmann is another name that emerged this past year and is one that we will continue to hear about going forward. Kentucky Michigan State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee have offered him thus far.
5. [player_tooltip player_id="164149" first="Peter" last="Gonzalez"] | 6-foot-2, 195 | Pittsburgh Central Catholic
Our first player from the WPIAL at the wide receiver position is PCC’s, [player_tooltip player_id="164149" first="Peter" last="Gonzalez"]. With good size, speed, and route-running skills, Gonzalez is a player who could rise in future rankings. Akron, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Marshall, Maryland, Miami (FL), Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin have all offered so far. A strong offer list to start for the Pittsburgh native.
6. [player_tooltip player_id="255738" first="Elijah" last="Jones"] | 5-foot-11, 185 | St. Joes Prep
Our final St. Joes Prep player in our top 10 is [player_tooltip player_id="255738" first="Elijah" last="Jones"] who is a very similar player to [player_tooltip player_id="377028" first="Brandon" last="Rehmann"], with similar size and capabilities. A versatile wide receiver who could line up on the outside or in the slot. Boston College, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, and Temple have all offered Jones.
7. [player_tooltip player_id="255743" first="Mason" last="Kuehner"] | 5-foot-11, 170 | Nazareth
Good size combined with 4.5 speed, there’s a lot to like about Kuehner. He was productive for Nazareth in 2021 and expectations are high for him entering next season. Kuehner recently received his first FBS offer from Old Dominion, plenty more should be to come for the Nazareth product over the next year and a half.
8. [player_tooltip player_id="164157" first="Trey" last="Woodley"] | 5-foot-11, 175 | Roman Catholic
Woodley is a quality wide receiver prospect who could rise as he continues to develop. Solid player overall who could benefit greatly this season when on the field with Denmark. Early offers from Boston College and Bowling Green.
9. [player_tooltip player_id="91546" first="Isaiah" last="Brown"] | 6-foot-2, 200 | Armstrong
Big fan of Brown’s size, the biggest wide receiver in our top-10. With quality speed, good catch radius, and strong at tracking the ball, Brown is a high-floor player who has a chance to be productive no matter where he ends up.
10. Cam Watkins | 6-foot-2, 190 | Bald Eagle Area
Another player with really nice size, Watkins also shows high-quality route-running skills which make up for any lack of top-end speed. He’s a player I esepcailly like believe could rise quite a bit if he continues to develop and shwos to be productive on the field. Also a tremendous athlete overall, lettering in three sports for Bald Eagle.
