2023 Class: Under The Radar Players

He is a out of the box player that is comfortable in space and flashes good closing speed, physicality at the POA and explodes through contact when tackling. Displaying a quick trigger and high football IQ, he moves well laterally and shows COD when pursuing ball carriers while tacking strong in the open field and taking good angles. Standing tall in the pocket, he can operate on the run and throw outside the hashes with some zip while feeling pressure off the edge and stepping up to deliver the ball vertically. A big bodied kid with lower body strength, he does a nice job at keeping his eyes downfield and throwing it up for his receivers to make a play where only they can get it. Showing a quick get off and initial explosion off the ball, he is a true vertical threat downfield and can get over the top of safeties. In traffic, he can go up and high point the ball with strong hands and nice body control, especially in the red zone. Often getting in the blind spot of the defender, Williams is clean in and out of his breaks when running in-breaking and outbreaking routes, and can make defenders miss in the open field and has some third level explosion as he is seemingly always making big plays. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"700"}}} --> <p style="font-style:normal;font-weight:700">RB [player_tooltip player_id='396053' first='Parker' last='Rushton'], Borah HS 2023</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rushton is a bruising player from both his running back and linebacker positions. Tough and physical, he is a well built kid that should find his home at linebacker at the next level due to his size, strength and overall athleticism. In the box, he is a thumper that is extremely physical at the POA while reading plays quickly and shows good ball skills when jumping routes with cover abilities as well. On the other side of the ball, he is a vertical and tough runner that gets behind his pads and has a natural forward lean while easily breaking arm and ankle tackles and gaining the tough yards. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
