2023 Big 40 Showcase Standout QBs

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The older guys of the camp have been around doing their thing for a long time. These guys were polished and looking like superstars. It's always a good thing to be able to see players who have developed their game over the years. This bunch is definitely one to keep up with.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='138487' first='Reese' last='Mooney'], </strong>Denham Springs</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Reese won MVP for the 2023 class of QBs. He was on fire completing almost every pass that he threw. Reese has a smooth release and he stands tall in the pocket. He is a very poised QB who is committed to play baseball and football at Liberty. Kid can really sling the football and he understands how to read defenses. You will see him progress through reads very well when you watch his film. It is going to be a big 2022 season for him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='127667' first='Brax' last='Garrison'], Gordo</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brax is a big guy who has a cannon. He is very smooth and knows how to handle pressure. He stands tall and has a nice release. Brax is a QB who also does good throwing on the run. When he let's go of the ball he makes it find the target. He does not have passes that land all over the place. He delivers a ball that receivers can catch and get yards after the catch. This is going to be his first season at Gordo. It is going to be interesting how he adjusts to their offensive scheme.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='108931' first='Kaden' last='Irving'], Gautier</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaden has over 7,000 passing yards to his name for his high school career. He could easily graduate with 10k yards. Kid has an absolute cannon dangling from his shoulders. When we were tossing the football during an interview he almost broke my finger. He throws a nice tight spiral. He can zip the ball in or he can add some touch on it. In the longest man throw competition he threw the ball 69 yards. He is a baseball commit who is a phenomenal player on the gridiron and the diamond. This is going to be a season where he puts up some crazy numbers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='114386' first='Deljay' last='Bailey'], Petal</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Deljay has progressed very well this off-season. He is a very mature QB who has great leadership on and off of the football field. He can make any throw on the football field that you need him to make. He has some size so he can take a few rough patches in the pocket. He knows how to escape the pocket with hopes to get it done with his arm and not his legs. He is a very accurate passer who has great football knowledge. He is a guy that knows the assignments of everyone around him. He recently received an offer from UT Martin.
