With 20 Defensive Backs from the class of 2023 in the Prep Redzone rankings, it is easy to see that there is a great amount of talent at the position. Here are five very talented soon to be Seniors looking to have a big year this fall.

In 2021, he helped the Roger Baker Spartans to a 9 win season, held opposing offenses to 14.4 points per game and advanced to the 3rd round of the playoffs. He plays as a CB. Against the run, he uses his very good play speed to catch RB with good athletic ability from behind and prevent a touchdown. Against the pass, he patrols his zone well with his good athletic ability while keeping his eyes on the QB. He effectively tracks the ball in the air and shows very good ands as he comes down with the interception.

Against the pass, he does a great job of staying in phase with the outside receiver all over the field, tracks the ball well and times his hands perfectly to come away with a PBU. Against the run, he uses his excellent range, play speed and instincts in pursuit as he quickly catches the RB or QB before bringing him down preventing a gain of significant yardage.

Against the pass, he quickly keys and diagnoses the play and uses his very good quickness in pursuit before delivering a big hit to the WR preventing a significant gain. Against the run, he exhibits solid play strength to shed the block from larger XWR, uses his good play speed to catch the RB before making a very good form tackle.

Against the run, he shows elite range playing sideline to sideline with very good athletic ability and instincts in pursuit, plays with great leverage before bringing down larger RB with ease.

Against the run, he quickly keys and diagnoses the play, shows good athletic ability in pursuit, plays with great leverage and delivers a nice form tackle preventing a big gain. Against the pass, he does a good job reading the QB and shows elite closing speed while in pursuit of the receiver and makes the tackle shortly after the catch is made.
