Fall Breakout Candidates Inside Look: Running Backs

&nbsp; <em><strong>Marco Del Rio, Meridian HS 2024</strong></em> Del Rio is one of the best backs across the state within the 2024 class and is in line to have a monster Junior season. Still growing and developing, he has a quick burst through the first level and shows nice vision in traffic while able to hit the hole quickly and get into the open field. In both the inside and outside run game, he is patient behind his blockers while fast enough to bounce it outside and shows open field speed to break away from third level defenders. Going into 2022, he will be a name heard often through out the season. &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="336867" first="LeRoy" last="Hull"], Eagle HS 2023</strong></em> Hull is a smooth runner with quick feet through the hole and is tough to bring down in one on one situations as he shows impressive contact balance and bounces off/avoids arm and ankle tackles. Running through contact with high knee drive and a forward lean, he has a knack for making big plays and shows second level speed. A zone scheme runner, he has cutback ability and flows well behind his blockers while able to make defenders miss in the hole with lateral movement abilities and short area quickness. Hull can make a impact at the college level and should gather attention through his Senior season. &nbsp; &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="336944" first="Michael" last="Goff"], Kimberly HS 2024</strong></em> Goff mainly does his damage on the defensive side of the ball but is a bruising thumper with the ball in his hands that is tough to bring down while consistently able to gain tough yardage. A compact and well built kid, he should find his home at inside linebacker in college but his football IQ, motor and quick play recognition make him a very intriguing prospect. D-III+ colleges should take note of the 2024 prospect. During the 2022 season, he should see more reps carrying the rock and will do plenty of damage in-between the tackles. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="336865" first="Deegan" last="Martinho"], Eagle HS 2023</strong></em> Martinho is a very explosive runner that can do damage out of the backfield and from the slot. He has quick feet through the hole and shows elite lateral movement abilities in the open field forcing defenders to take bad angles and miss in space. In the inside run game, he shows cutback ability while cutting underneath his blockers and setting up defenders to over pursue. Out of the backfield, he shows soft hands while moving and can adjust his body well to the ball and get upfield quickly. Martinho is a very balanced back that can find a home at the next level and make an impact in college. &nbsp;
