It’s the month of June and we’re inching closer to the start of the 2022 football season. This month, we’re updating and upgrading our prospect rankings across the site. This week, it’s all about the 2025 class as the breakout freshmen from last season now become sophomores this fall. In case you missed our complete ranking update, you can check out the 2025 Top 50 Right Here! Throughout the week, we’ll take a look at different position groups, as well as some of the other standouts inside and just outside of this recent ranking update. Stay tuned to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the month of June for more ranking updates, along with a ton of prospect breakdowns. In this post, we take a look at five prospects who are listed right now as athletes. These prospects play multiple positions and play them well. So while projecting them as a college prospect is difficult right now as for what position they’ll be so we’ll leave them as “athletes” right now.
CJ Simon
CJ

6'0" | 160 lbs | WR
Moore | 2025
State
OK
– Moore
(Ranked #14 Overall – #2 ATH)
Moore is on a fantastic run of producing versatile athletes that can play a variety of positions and make a massive impact there. The latest in that line of prospects is 2025 athlete CJ Simon CJ Simon 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Moore | 2025 State OK . He enjoyed a breakout season last fall, primarily playing wide receiver and defensive back, although he did see some time at running back. We’re buying stock early on this Moore product and think that he’s going to be an impact player for the next three seasons. And honestly, it really doesn’t matter for us what position he lines up at because we like him as a running back, wide receiver and even a defensive back. With some prospects listed as athletes, we usually lean one way or another on position but with Simon, we don’t have a lean because we think he’s going to be successful wherever he is.
Boston Carrasco
Boston
Carrasco
5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH
Union | 2025
State
OK
– Jenks
(Ranked #24 Overall – #4 ATH)
Another prospect that was in our initial 2025 rankings earlier this year and is once again in the top 25 is Jenks athlete Boston Carrasco Boston Carrasco 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Union | 2025 State OK . We got to see Carrasco a handful of times this offseason while playing 7v7 and then again at our camp earlier this year. Carrasco is in a similar position as Simon at Moore where he can line up at running back, wide receiver and defensive back and feel comfortable. But unlike Simon, right now, we’re leaning to one position for Carrasco moving forward and that’s wide receiver. He just looks like another version of Jenks wide receivers that we’ve seen over the last decade. From Dylan Harding to Dillon Stoner and currently with Ty Walls Ty Walls 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Jenks | 2023 State OK . The one thing we’re waiting for is to see him make a significant impact on the varsity level. Then he’ll blow up.
Cale Marley

Marley
5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH
Rejoice Christian | 2025
State
OK
– Rejoice Christian
(Ranked #27 Overall – #5 ATH)
One prospect that we’re definitely going to be keeping an eye on not only this fall but moving forward is Rejoice Christian 2025 athlete Cale Marley Cale Marley 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Rejoice Christian | 2025 State OK . The 2025 prospect will be a quarterback in the future but with 2023 QB and Player Of The Year finalist Chance Wilson Chance Wilson 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Rejoice Christian | 2023 State OK currently in that spot, Marley has to find different ways to make an impact for Rejoice Christian. The Eagles found a way to get Marley involved last year but starting next year, he’ll more than likely be moved to the quarterback position. Rejoice Christian has a ton of talent returning this fall and more specifically, they have a ton of speed returning. Marley is part of that group and helped Rejoice dominate in track this past spring. He’s one of the more intriguing prospects to watch moving forward in our opinion because of the next level questions about his position.
JuJu Smith
JuJu
Smith
5'8" | ATH
Choctaw | 2025
State
OK
– Choctaw
(Ranked #29 Overall – #6 ATH)
The last time we released the 2025 rankings, we had Choctaw’s JuJu Smith JuJu Smith 5'8" | ATH Choctaw | 2025 State OK listed as a running back following his breakout freshman season. The Choctaw prospect better known as “JuJu” is now listed as an athlete because of his potential to play both sides of the ball and the emergence of his abilities at the safety position. In addition to seeing Smith a handful of times playing 7v7 and specifically playing safety, we also saw him put the pads on and line up at safety, along with several other positions on the offensive side of the ball. We like Smith’s athleticism and playmaking ability. And one thing we definitely saw over the last six months was the confidence that he plays with on the field. We’re looking forward to seeing what other parts of his game come out this fall.
Deandre Hamilton
Deandre
Hamilton
6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH
Catoosa | 2025
State
OK
– Catoosa
(Ranked #31 Overall – #7 ATH)
Just like with most of the prospects that we have listed as athletes, we are leaning one way positionally with Catoosa wide receiver and defensive back Deandre Hamilton Deandre Hamilton 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Catoosa | 2025 State OK . After checking out his freshman film earlier this year, during our Friday Film Review series and then getting a chance to see him at person at the Verdigris team camp, we’re even more sold that Hamilton has the right stuff to be one of the better wide receivers in the state’s 2025 class. He also splits time at defensive back and he still shows plenty of promise there. But right now, that lean is starting to go more towards the offensive side of the ball simply because of his playmaking ability at the wide receiver position. Hamilton has the potential to be a gam-changing wide receiver for Catoosa this fall.
