In case you missed our complete ranking update, you can check out the 2024 Top 75 Right Here! Throughout the week, we’ll take a look at different position groups, along with several other ranking breakdowns. Stay tuned to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the month of June for more ranking updates, along with a ton of prospect breakdowns. In this post, we take a look at five prospects who are not only new to the 2024 rankings, but are some of the higher ranked guys in the recent update, including the top overall prospect in the 2024 class, who has moved into Oklahoma this offseason.
XaDavien Sims

– Defensive Lineman – Durant
(Ranked #1 Overall – #1 DL)
We start with the top overall prospect in defensive lineman XaDavien Sims XaDavien Sims 6'4" | 275 lbs | DL Durant | 2024 State OK out of Durant. Sims hasn’t even taken a varsity snap in Oklahoma but already takes over the top spot after starting his career at Sherman. Sims is no stranger to Oklahoma and specifically southern Oklahoma. He’s been training with the Durant-based C4 with Sean Cooper and that’s where we first got a chance to see Sims in person. He was a freshman at the time and was arguably the most physically impressive prospects we saw while we were there. Sims is an absolute wrecking ball on the line of scrimmage and he’s only gotten better since we saw him a few years ago. At the time, Cooper mentioned that programs like Alabama would be after Sims and that’s exactly what happened. He’s one of the top prospects in the country. And we’re thrilled we get to watch him in Oklahoma now.
Xavier Robinson

Carl Albert | 2024
State
OK
– Running Back – Carl Albert
(Ranked #9 Overall – #2 RB)
Carl Albert has had a great run of running backs for the majority of the last decade. And that’s not stopping any time soon, despite the graduation of Buddy Bizzell. Taking the spot of Bizzell is Xavier Robinson Xavier Robinson 6'2" | 225 lbs | RB Carl Albert | 2024 State OK , who Carl Albert’s coaches expect not only to be one of the top running backs in 5A this fall, but they expect him to take the torch from Bizzell and add his name to that list of stellar running backs who have come through the Carl Albert program. Robinson is somewhat similar to Bizzell physically and could even be considered a linebacker prospect. He ran for over 700 yards and 12 touchdowns last season and he’s just getting started.
Kooper Rich
Kooper
Rich
6'5" | 240 lbs | TE
Ponca City | 2024
State
OK
– Tight End – Ponca City
(Ranked #16 Overall – #2 TE)
We first came across Ponca City tight end Kooper Rich Kooper Rich 6'5" | 240 lbs | TE Ponca City | 2024 State OK this offseason while we did our “Friday Film Review” series and watched his sophomore film from last season while he was at Waynoka. We did that series for two months and covered nearly 100 prospects across Oklahoma and our favorite film to watch might have been Rich’s film. At 6’5 and absolutely built, Rich looked like a grown man playing against middle schoolers while at the 8-man level. His nickname of “Baby Jaws” is definitely fitting after watching him absolutely dominate the field last season. We’re interested to see how he makes the transition to not only 11-man ball but playing at Ponca City in 6A-2 where the competition will surely ramp up. Right now, he’s a hidden gem in Oklahoma but that shouldn’t last for long.
Jordyn Harris
Jordyn
Harris
6'1" | 165 lbs | DB
Heritage Hall | 2024
State
OK
– Defensive Back – Heritage Hall
(Ranked #22 Overall – #3 DB)
Another prospect that we first got a chance to see and break down during our “Friday Film Review” series in March and April was Heritage Hall defensive back Jordyn Harris Jordyn Harris 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Heritage Hall | 2024 State OK . It’s hard not to be impressed with the combination of athleticism and size when you watch Harris on film. Despite losing star playmaker Gavin Freeman, Heritage Hall actually has some stellar young talent returning and Harris is part of that 2024 group that has a few names that could end up sky-rocketing up this 2024 ranking. Harris is a dynamic athlete that we currently have as a cornerback prospect but he could end up being more down the line.
Liam Evans
Liam
Evans
5'8" | 155 lbs | K
Moore | 2024
State
OK
– Kicker – Moore
(Ranked #26 Overall – #1 K)
Every time we do a ranking update, one of the hardest positions to rank is kicker and we’ve run into that yet again. Over the last few years, Oklahoma has produced some really good kicking prospects. But how do you compare one of the top kickers in the country to an offensive lineman or any other position. And we’ve run into that again here with Moore kicker Liam Evans Liam Evans 5'8" | 155 lbs | K Moore | 2024 State OK . There was no doubt that he was the top kicker in this class after the offseason he’s had. He’s consistently impressed while at kicking camps and showcases. We’re looking forward to seeing more of him in person this fall as he’s part of a Moore team that is young and full of talent. Generally, when you have a strong kicking prospect, we typically put them in the 25-35 range overall and that’s exactly where Evans landed.
