Enjoy! As the month of June comes to an end this week, we wrap up all of our prospect rankings with an update of the 2023 class. All of the updates began with a new Top 50 in the 2025 Rankings and the 2024 class followed and you can check out that 2024 Top 75 Right Here! Finally, we look at the upcoming senior class as we turn our attention to the 2023 class, which has become incredibly deep. Our latest update features the Top 175 prospects in the 2023 class. You can check out that complete Top 175 Right Here! In this post, we continue our positional breakdowns with a look at the offensive linemen. This is a position that continues to get deeper and deeper. It already features several prospects that are committed to D1 programs and that list is sure to grow. We put a spotlight on some of the more dominant offensive linemen in the state's 2023 class right here! Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more positional breakdowns throughout the week! [player_tooltip player_id="50786" first="JaKobe" last="Sanders"] - Stillwater (Ranked #5 Overall - #1 OL) We kick off this breakdown with the top offensive lineman prospect and a top five overall prospect in Stillwater lineman [player_tooltip player_id="50786" first="JaKobe" last="Sanders"]. We've made no secret about our opinion of Sanders over the last two years as he's had a tight grip on the top spot in the 2023 offensive line group. Sanders has also jumped up into the top five and we think that's where he belongs now that he's moved to the center position. Sanders has only gotten better and better since his breakout freshman year. Since moving to center last season, Sanders looks more natural and has a great shot of being the next big center prospect to come out of Oklahoma. [player_tooltip player_id="38811" first="Kenny" last="Wermy"] - Cache (Ranked #26 Overall - #2 OL) Full transparency here. We like [player_tooltip player_id="38811" first="Kenny" last="Wermy"] out of Cache. We think he's been to every single one of our showcase camps and he's performed incredibly well in front of our coaches and against top competition. Wermy also competes as much as he can throughout the offseason at various camps and training groups. Then you throw on the tape and see that the hard work is paying off because the Cache standout is flat out dominant on the football field. He's a good example of a 2023 prospect that has been nothing short of dominant and the recruitment of Wermy should be taking off this summer and going into the fall during his senior year. [player_tooltip player_id="54350" first="Brandt" last="Haag"] - Bishop McGuinness (Ranked #47 Overall - #5 OL) Bishop McGuinness offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="54350" first="Brandt" last="Haag"] is another offensive lineman who has been on the radar for us for a while now. Since we first saw him, Haag has only continued to get better and better. While he battled some injury issues early on in his career, Haag looks great as he heads into his senior season. Early on in his career, McGuinness coaches mentioned to us that he had the chance to be up there among some of the better OL prospects to come out of Bishop McGuinness in recent memory. A big senior season, playing for a team that will be in the 5A championship hunt could help prove just that. [player_tooltip player_id="57159" first="CJ" last="Compton"] - Bethel (Ranked #52 Overall - #6 OL) Bethel is another small school program that we think has a bright future and it could start as early as this season. Bethel has several 2025 prospects that are featured in the 2025 rankings and have earned their spots already after stellar freshman seasons. But the Wildcats also have a blend of that youth with veteran leadership and that comes from offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="57159" first="CJ" last="Compton"]. He's a prospect that we just love watching film of because it's a mismatch almost every time he steps on the field as he just dominates his opponent. We think that Compton's best days of football are ahead of him and he's going to be a steal for a college program. [player_tooltip player_id="38779" first="Jonathan" last="Ashford"] - Edmond Santa Fe (Ranked #53 Overall - #7 OL) Similar to Sanders out of Stillwater, Edmond Santa Fe offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="38779" first="Jonathan" last="Ashford"] has been on the radar for the 2023 class since his freshman season. Ashford has moved all around the offensive line for Edmond Santa Fe and he's never really struggled at any of the positions, which is a big reason to like him moving forward. We believe that Ashford's natural spot is on the interior of the offensive line but he's also shown he can handle quick defensive ends at the tackle position. Ashford committed to Air Force earlier this offseason and is yet another offensive lineman in this class that is headed off to play D1 football next year. [player_tooltip player_id="38783" first="Tryce" last="Lewis"] - McLoud (Ranked #54 Overall - #8 OL) McLoud lineman [player_tooltip player_id="38783" first="Tryce" last="Lewis"] might have found his natural position along the offensive line as he moves to center. Lewis is the perfect fit for that position and as he gets more and more comfortable, his recruiting stock should go up along with his confidence. Lewis is a lot like his McLoud teammate [player_tooltip player_id="99770" first="Clint" last="Campbell"] where we think his future is on the offensive side of the ball but he's also shown a lot of promise as a defensive tackle. We're keeping him on offense for now and a lot of that has to do with his size and abilities that he's already shown at the position. But keep an eye on him possibly moving sides at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="268324" first="Sean" last="Rich"] - Pioneer (Ranked #61 Overall - #10 OL) Pioneer offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="268324" first="Sean" last="Rich"] is a great example of why we did our "Friday Film Review" series in March and April and will keep doing it moving forward. Before, we didn't know much of anything about the small school standout. After watching his film and absolutely wrecking opposing defensive linemen, we became fans of his game. Rich plays 8-man ball at Pioneer and there's always been an opinion that if you play at that level, your recruitment suffers because of it. That's simply not true. If you can play, they'll find you. And Rich can play. His film shows that, he's shown that in camp settings against other top linemen and has earned his way into the top ten for his position. [player_tooltip player_id="287378" first="Caden" last="Tahbonemah"] - Lawton MacArthur (Ranked #62 Overall - #11 OL) Lawton MacArthur offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="287378" first="Caden" last="Tahbonemah"] is another example of a prospect that we've seen shine at our camp, as well as get better and better throughout the offseason at the Trench Mafia training sessions. Tahbonemah got on our radar last offseason and then he backed it up with an outstanding junior year. It was fun to watch him and the Lawton Mac offense as they had one of the top rushing attacks in the state. Tahbonemah is a big and physical lineman that enjoys pushing opposing defensive linemen backwards and completely controlling where they're going to go. Look for his recruitment to really blow up this fall. [player_tooltip player_id="51853" first="Kaden" last="Stanton"] - Beggs (Ranked #65 Overall - #12 OL) Beggs offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="51853" first="Kaden" last="Stanton"] has been another prospect that has been on our radar for what seems like his entire high school career. It's hard to argue that as he's been a dominating force along Beggs' offensive line during the last few seasons. And look at the success they've had, especially in the running game. Granted, they've had some of the best running backs in the state toting the rock for them, which certainly helps. But Stanton is an absolute mauler on the line of scrimmage and watching him in person this spring, he looks like he's trimmed down a little while keeping that strength and power, which makes him definitely an OL prospect to watch. [player_tooltip player_id="157510" first="Kenyon" last="Bigbow"] - Anadarko (Ranked #88 Overall - #13 OL) If you want an offensive lineman that knows how to get off the ball and absolutely attack his opponent, then we have your guy with Anadarko offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="157510" first="Kenyon" last="Bigbow"]. The Anadarko standout has some of our favorite film among the OL group in this class. He is so quick off the ball and when he locks his hands on an opponent, they are going where he wants them to go. BigBow was another standout at one of our showcase camps and should have an excellent senior season. Just like a few other small school standouts, BigBow's recruitment should take off this fall as he heads into his senior year, now that his film has had time to make the rounds.
