TN Future Stars Chattanooga Tryout: Quarterback Standouts
In this article:
Tennessee Future Stars hosted their final tryout for a spot on their roster at Boyd Buchanan School in Chattanooga, TN. This was the biggest turnout they have ever had in this area bringing more talent than ever before. Here are the QB standouts following Sunday’s tryout.
Madden Guffey Madden Guffey 6'0" | 165 lbs | QB Bearden | 2026 TN | Quarterback | 2026
Guffey once again had a great tryout on Sunday. His focus was next level and his tenacity to get better showed through during each drill. He exuded confidence leading the offense to execute and create plays. He had a great way of finding his receivers and releasing the ball at a fast but accurate pace. His ability to move his feet in the pocket showed that he can compete at the next level. It will be exciting to see his development as he physically progresses as he moves from middle school and onto high school.
Tyson Sutton | Quarterback | 2027
Sutton had great decision-making skills whether it was a short pass or a long pass towards the end zone he was always able to find his target. The direction of the ball was clean leading the offense downfield to make big plays. His height allows him to see past defenders and connect with his receivers. I feel confident that he will be able to handle pressure well going into the season with big games ahead of him.
Luke Finch Luke Finch 6'2" | 160 lbs | QB Hixson | 2026 TN | Quarterback | 2026
This eighth-grader had great athleticism and drive. He was able to take direction well from coaches to improve his physical and mental game. His arm strength was above average for his grade level; however, his height plays to his advantage allowing him to see over the defensive line to connect with receivers. I have no hesitation that as he continues to develop physically that his technique will follow suit.
Cayden Creech Cayden Creech 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB University School Of Jackson | 2027 TN | Quarterback | 2027
Creech stood out for his technique and arm strength. When the ball would come out of his hands it was effortless and accurate. In addition, his ability to drop back and move his feet while looking downfield was impressive for his age. Once able to connect with the offense, he will continue to dominate on the field while building a cohesive offensive scheme.
