TN Future Stars Chattanooga Tryout: Lineman Standouts
Tennessee Future Stars continues their search for who will make their roster this season to compete against the Kentucky Future Stars. This past Sunday many young men came out to Boyd Buchanan to compete for a final spot. Here are the standouts at the offensive and defensive lineman positions.
Kervens Hiljer | Defensive Line | 2028
This sixth-grade stud was not shy as a young guy in the group. His body composition and stature were above average for his age. He exemplified strong physical and mental skills in the defensive lineman position. His toughness was no joke as he beat out every defender he went up against during 1v1s. He was not afraid to make contact and show the coaches his all.
Braylon Hutchins | Defensive Line | 2027
A long, lean Defensive End prospect, Hutchins has a ton of potential. At the tryout it was obvious he’s a raw talent with a very high ceiling. Talking to coaches, he’s just in his second year of playing legitimate tackle football. He had the speed to get around the edge and was impressive using his hands and arms to create space to move against the Offensive Linemen. The potential is through the roof.
Solomon Sorye | Offensive Line /Defensive Line | 2026
This powerhouse of a young man was no joke. He was extremely versatile in his play on the offensive and defensive lines. On the offensive side of the ball, his blocking ability was next level staying low and grinding through every play. His feet continued to progress forward with short powerful steps beating out defenders. On the defensive side, he showcased his technique by bull-rushing on a play during 1v1s.
Elijah Daniels | Offensive Line/Defensive Line | 2026
Daniels demonstrated grit and athleticism off the line. He mastered the fundamentals of heads-up blocking and staying square up against his opponent. As he made contact off the line he used his strength to drive himself forward and his opponent backward. If he continues to perfect his technique and develop physically, you will not want to mess with him come game day.
Billy Ogle | Defensive Line | 2026
This eighth-grade lineman was strong and focused. His ability to move past defenders to rush the quarterback during 1v1s was impressive. His motor showed through in his grind to explode off the line and get to where he wanted to go. His drive and focus will take him very far as his mental game progresses along with his physical game. As a defender, you do not want to go up against Ogle.
