PRZJordan’s Prospect Tour Preview: Top Matchups WR/DB
Today is the day of our PRZ Prospect Tour, we’re taking a look at some of the Top Matchups between the WR/DB coming to the showcase. We’re stacked with talent in both sessions of the showcase, keeping things focused on Session Two let’s dive into the WR/DB coming to put on a show.
Jyaire Hill Jyaire Hill 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Kankakee | 2023 State IL 2023 6’2″ Kankakee Twitter
Mr. Hill is, simply put, a straight baller that can get it done on both sides of the ball. I had the chance to scout this young man in person during the IHSA 5A State Championship game this last season where you could see why he has the list of offers that he does. His ability to make plays not only on defense, but also on offense and special teams is a sight to see. His explosive playmaking abilities match up with the best of the best here in the state of Illinois. I personally give him the edge on the defensive side of the ball at defensive back as he can ball hawk and cover sideline to sideline like no other. I’m very interested to see how he does during 1 on 1s going up against some of the top receivers in the state.
KeShon Singleton KeShon Singleton 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Sacred Heart-Griffin | 2023 State IL 2023 6’1″ Sacred Heart-griffin Twitter
Mr. Singleton is a young man that I had the opportunity to scout in person during the 4A IHSA State Championship game this last season where, my oh my, I’m surprised he doesn’t have more offers. His ability to break down the defender guarding him, whether in press or off coverage, to manipulate his route to not only gain the step advantage but also break the defender off creating separation on the play is impressive. Not to mention, this young man is coming off winning the IHSA Basketball Championship as well for his team where he’s a playmaker on the court as well. I’m pumped up to see this young man in action again and watch him compete with the other talented young men in attendance. I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns some heads with some of the plays he makes during 1 on 1s.
Charlie Specht Charlie Specht 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR York | 2023 State IL 2023 6’1″ York Twitter
Mr. Specht is a young man that’s been on my radar for some time now and one that, I believe, is a route running technician at its finest. His ability to run crisp routes utilizing both speed and hard cuts to create separation is one to keep an eye on. He has a modest route tree last time I had a chance to scout him, I’m very interested to see where this is at as we head into the showcase. Whether it’s an underneath route or a deep shot downfield, this young man can set up the defender one way before breaking the opposite and has the ability to go up for those 50/50 balls. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a young man that sees his recruiting stock skyrocket here in the coming months.
Blayne Sisson Blayne Sisson 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB Mt. Carmel | 2024 State IL 2024 6’3″ Mount Carmel Twitter
Mr. Sisson is a young man that’s also been on my radar for some time now and one that’s had to play out of position this last fall at quarterback. His versatility and playmaking abilities being switched over to quarterback was a sight to see, with that being said he can also make big plays as a wideout as well. This young man’s foot quicks and elusiveness are what come to mind when thinking of his playmaking abilities. I’m interested to see how he fairs during the combine testing and how he does during 1-on-1s.
KJ Parker KJ Parker 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH IC Catholic Prep | 2024 State IL 2024 5’11″ IC Catholic Prep Twitter
Mr. Parker is a young man I had the chance to scout in person during the regular season last fall where he put on a show with his big playmaking abilities. He’s a ball hawking safety that can break on the ball to secure the interception and force pass breakups covering sideline to sideline as well as come down in run support if need be. Not to mention, on the offensive side of the ball he has the ability to play above the rim as well going up for those 50/50 balls. What I’m most excited about seeing from this young man is how he performs during 1 on 1s as I believe he could very well be in the conversation for DB MVP.
Noah Pfafflin 2024 6’2″ Lyons Township Twitter
Mr. Pfafflin is a young man that’s been on my radar and one that I believe is ready to explode once he completes his Junior Season Campaign. He provides glimpses into his ability to go up for those 50/50 balls to come down with the contested catch as well as into running crispt routes to create separation from the defender. What I’m most excited to see out of this young man is how those skillsets have developed since the end of the fall season – keep an eye on this young man as his time is coming.
