These three guys are all great in their own way and vary in current skill and potential. The Leaders conference is an intriguing conference that I’ll need to keep an eye on!
Jack Neer – QB – Boyne City
Neer is an overlooked QB from a good Boyne City team. He totaled 1149 yards and 13 touchdowns on 58% passing. Honestly, the footwork and overall fundamentals aren’t perfect, but Neer can sling it. He throws a pretty deep ball with good accuracy and spin. When he finds an open receiver with his first progression, he’s able to fire it in there. I’m looking forward to Neer’s upcoming season!
Patrick Sterrett – ATH – Charlevoix
Sterrett’s film is incredibly fun to watch. It starts with a NASTY double-move to get him wide open for the score and continues with his receiver highlights. He can make things happen on the offensive end, as he’s shifty and great in the open field. Sterrett knows how to get open and constantly makes defenses pay. I’m seriously impressed by his highlights and will be keeping an eye on Sterrett!
Ryan McGuire – TE – Elk Rapids
A very raw prospect, McGuire is a 6’5″ 215lb who naturally dominates. His size alone gives him an edge, as he can get open easily and block with relative ease. Of course, when you see a High School TE of that size, you think of the potential. McGuire has potential, and if he can work his tail off, he may receive some college looks.
