The two-day event at Cherokee Trail High School consisted of laser-timed combine drills, individual position instruction, one-on-one competitions, and team competitions. One player from each position was named MVP at the end of the event, but there was no shortage of premier talent in attendance.
This article will look at seven players who worked their way onto the radar and deserve attention as recruiting prospects.
Omari Bursey | Legacy | 6’0”, 225lbs | 2024 LB
Bursey immediately stood out during the first day and carried that popularity throughout the camp’s entirety. He has a solid frame and great size. He moves well and has excellent vision with fantastic speed. His ability to read his keys and fit gaps to attack the ball carrier in the hole or behind the line of scrimmage is outstanding. Bursey is a newcomer to the radar whose introduction came with the MVP award for the linebacker group, making him a must-watch player.
Blessed to receive LB MVP 🏆 at @ShowcaseBall X @SixZeroAcademy Had an amazing camp with a ton of competition and great coaches.

Evan Rearick | Erie | 6’3”, 210lbs | 2023 QB
Rearick is a sleeper quarterback who showed serious potential during the first day. He has good size, solid footwork, and a nice throwing motion. He made impressive throws while showing off his strong arm and good accuracy. Rearick is a QB who has been flying under the radar due to him having one of the nation’s more talented sophomores in front of him, but that does not negate the fact that he is a player worthy of a closer look.
Luciano Tafoya | ThunderRidge | 5’5”, 170lbs | 2024 RB
Tafoya is an athlete who lets his hard work speak for itself, which is how he stood out during the combine testing on the first day. He is a powerful runner with a solid frame and excellent pad level. Tafoya is an explosive runner who turned into one of the more impressive under-the-radar players at the event.

Jerry Lydiatt Jerry Lydiatt TE Pine Creek | 2023 State CO | Pine Creek | 6’3”, 225lbs | 2023 TE
Lydiatt is another low-flyer with a ton of potential. He checks the eye-test box because he has really good size on a great frame. He showed that he is a powerful runner with great speed, recording the fastest 40-yard dash time among the tight end group with a 5.04 time. His ability to track the ball well, mixed with his strong hands, makes him a reliable option for the QB. Lydiatt is a physical player who can maul as a blocker and expose secondaries as a receiver, making him a big-time sleeper.
Cruz Garcia | Legend | 6’3”, 250lbs | 2024 DL/OL
Garcia is a player who found himself under the spotlight during his one-on-one competition reps. He is an explosive force off the line with great power and overall strength. His relentless pass-rushing abilities are based on his high motor and eagerness to beat his opponent. Garcia was equally impressive on the offensive side of the ball thanks to his explosive power and outstanding athleticism, making him a player to keep an eye on.

Jordan Nunez | Holy Family | 2023 DB
Nunez was another low-flyer on the radar who made a good impression during the showcase, earning the MVP award for the defensive back group. He is a hard-working athlete who took the coaching he was given and applied it to the competitions. His primary position is at free safety, but he showed versatility as a corner. Nunez started to stand out during the second day, especially during the team portion, where he revealed his skills as a run defender.
Pierce Mykytyn | Legacy | 6’2”, 165lbs | 2024 QB
Mykytyn has recently popped up on the radar and shown significant promise. He displayed solid footwork with good awareness and pocket presence. He did an excellent job at taking care of the ball by making quick decisions and being on time with his throws. Mykytyn did a great job taking what the defense gave him and even showed off his arm strength by completing a few deep passes in stride.
