With this latest rankings update we have a new No. 1 overall player in Bradley, an elite prospect with more than three dozen offers from coast to coast, and a new prospect at No. 4 overall.
Here is a quick look at some of the biggest stock risers in the newly updated rankings:
RB Jeremiyah Love Jeremiyah Love 6'1" | 195 lbs | RB CBC | 2023 State MO CBC
Love, a speedy 6-1, 190-pounder who could play running back, wide receiver, safety or cornerback at the next level, moved up from No. 19 to No. 14 in our last rankings update a few months ago but now makes a big jump up to No. 4.
The Missouri Class 5 100-meter dash champion (10.76 seconds) as a sophomore after missing his sophomore football season with an injury, Love had a breakout junior season for state champion CBC, leading the Cadets in rushing (996 yards) and touchdowns (14) and averaging 10.5 yards per carry in 12 games.
Love’s recruiting has exploded since mid January. In the past four months, he has received offers from Oregon, Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, Penn State and Miami, among others. Most recently, after reportedly running a 4.38 40-yard dash at a camp in Kansas City, he received offers from Georgia and Texas A&M.
DE Adepoju Adebawore Adepoju Adebawore 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2023 State MO , North Kansas City
Adebawore, 6-5, 240-pound defensive end, made his debut in the Missouri Class of 2023 rankings update in January at No. 13 overall. This time, he jumps up into the Top 10 at No. 7.
Adebawore had a breakthrough junior season with 51.5 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in 11 games while playing for a loaded North Kansas City defense that included Iowa State signee Domonique Orange Domonique Orange 6'3" | 295 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2022 State MO and defensive tackle prospect Edric Hill Edric Hill 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2023 State MO , the No. 9 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2023.
Like Love, Adebawore’s offer list has exploded in the past few months. Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami, LSU, Florida State and Texas A&M, among others, have all extended offers since the start of the new year.
It only takes a few seconds of watching the 2023 standout’s junior film to see why. Just watch the first play and you’ll see what makes Adebawore different.
WR Fredrick Moore Fredrick Moore 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Cardinal Ritter | 2023 State MO , Cardinal Ritter
An explosive 6-1, 180-pounder, Moore was No. 19 overall in our last rankings update but moves up to No. 10 overall in this update.
Moore had a breakout junior season when he recorded 41 receptions for 1,010 yards and 12 total touchdowns, including three return scores, last fall.
Among the big-play wide receiver’s most recent offers are from Penn State and Michigan.
DL-OL Trevor Buhr Trevor Buhr 6'4" | 260 lbs | DL Washington | 2023 State MO , Washington
Buhr, a 6-4, 265-pounder, jumped up from No. 28 in the last rankings update to No. 14 this time.
He had a huge surge in his recruitment recently, picking up offers from Iowa and Texas A&M in March and then Illinois, Minnesota, Washington and Nebraska in April.
TE Zach Ortwerth Zach Ortwerth 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE St. Louis University High | 2023 State MO , St. Louis University High
There was a time this offseason when Ortwerth had yet to receive his first scholarship offer and we were starting to question if we had him ranked too high as the No. 3 tight end and No. 35 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2023.
Then the 6-5, 220-pounder, who moves up from No. 35 to No. 17 with this rankings update, received a flurry of offers from Nebraska, Indiana, Iowa, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Purdue, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Minnesota in a span of a month.
Also a basketball player, Ortwerth was SLUH’s third-leading receiver last fall — behind Wisconsin signee Chris Brooks Jr Chris Brooks Jr 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR St. Louis University High | 2022 State MO . and top 2024 prospect Ryan Wingo Ryan Wingo 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR St. Louis University High | 2024 State MO — with 20 receptions for 298 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 76 tackles and two sacks on defense.
