In fact, there are already a handful of prospects in this class that have received some offers from big-time programs.
Here, we look ahead and see which 2026 prospects in Georgia are already generating some buzz.
QB – Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA – Carrollton
There should be no doubt as to whether or not Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA is the top 2026 prospect in the state. As a matter of fact, you could argue that he is the top 2026 player in the entire country at any position. Lewis, an Adidas 9th Grade All-American, has already received offers from programs like Oregon, Ole Miss, Michigan, Florida, Pitt, Penn State, and the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. When you watch his 8th-grade tape, you will see a strong-armed QB that can mix up arm angles and change velocities on the ball to make any throw he wants to make on the field. While it is always a question as to whether or not these prospects will hold their hype once they hit the high school level, Lewis already looks like a wise decision-maker beyond his years and is blessed with some serious athletic ability. Nobody is a sure thing, but Lewis is about as close as you can get to one.
QB – Chap Chapman Chap Chapman 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Oconee County | 2026 State GA – Oconee County
This Athens area southpaw is yet another 2026 QB that has started to pick up some momentum on the trail. With two recorded offers from Texas Tech and Penn State, Chapman is in a position to blow up on the trail if he can tie everything together. Chapman is a smaller statured QB, but that is no worry as he is still young. Even without the biggest frame, he has an incredibly strong arm which allows him to push the ball downfield vertically. He also has great touch on his deep ball and throws his receivers open. Once he is at the varsity level and shows that he can handle the pressure under the lights and make all the throws on the field, then Chapman’s stock should continue to rise as a prospect.

EDGE – Tyler Atkinson Tyler Atkinson 6'3" | 185 lbs | LB Grayson | 2026 State GA – Grayson
Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA isn’t the only 2026 prospect in the state that has received some serious PO5 buzz as Tyler Atkinson Tyler Atkinson 6'3" | 185 lbs | LB Grayson | 2026 State GA is starting to look like the standard for defensive players in the 2026 class. In the last few days, Atkinson has added offers from schools like Campbell, Auburn, and Mississippi State. Those schools are added to an offer list that includes schools like Penn State, Western Kentucky, Louisville, Florida A&M, Tennessee, and Georgia. Atkinson is already holding his own at Grayson’s spring practice. If he can succeed there, then the sky is the limit for what Atkinson is capable of beyond the high school level. Atkinson is already an incredibly physical and athletic prospect at just around 6’3 190. Once he gets in a high school weight program and starts building his frame, then Atkinson could be a difference-maker from day 1.
🙏Blessed🙏
Thankful to receive an 🅾️ffer from Auburn University! @CoachHarsin @AuburnFootball @Auburn247 @crob45 @SchmeddingJeff @AuburnTigers @Coach_FredM @TheFreak @Mhoward38 @ChadSimmons_ @adamgorney @jeffsentell @JeremyO_Johnson @ErikRichardsUSA @Andrew_Ivins @Alex_B2C pic.twitter.com/nIvlgEVJcV— Tyler Atkinson Tyler Atkinson 6'3" | 185 lbs | LB Grayson | 2026 State GA (@Tyler16Atkinson) May 6, 2022
OT – Katrell Webb Katrell Webb 6'3" | 240 lbs | OL Collins Hill | 2026 State GA – Collins Hill
Collins Hill has produced some elite prospects in recent years, and Katrell Webb Katrell Webb 6'3" | 240 lbs | OL Collins Hill | 2026 State GA could be the next to join that lineage of athletes. It seems like plenty of schools are already deciding to bank on his upside, as he has received offers from Arkansas State, LSU, Ole Miss, Louisville, and UCF. At around 6’3 235, Webb is already an impressive prospect physically and still has plenty of time to grow out his frame. On film, you will see that Webb has a unique combination of quick footwork and a strong upper body. This allows him to keep faster edge defenders in front of him and drive them out of the play at the same time. With some development and growth, Webb has the skillset to become an elite player.
OL – Bear McWhorter Bear McWhorter 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Cass | 2026 State GA – Cass
McWhorter doesn’t have an influx of PO5 offers rolling in like some of these other prospects, but he is still an incredibly gifted athlete and will receive his fair share of offers very soon. McWhorter has recently visited schools like NC State, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, and North Carolina. As he continues to dominate the camp scene, which he has been doing for a year now, then he should be appearing on the radar for plenty more schools. McWhorter is fastly approaching 6’4 280, and can already move extremely well for his size. A light-footed offensive lineman at his size should create plenty of buzz on the trail, and once he starts to make an impact at the high school level, he should continue to grow into a very elite prospect.
