Below is a list of five low-flying prospects who are raising their stock value as they enter their senior seasons in the fall.
Lyam Edwards Lyam Edwards 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Ponderosa | 2023 State CO | Ponderosa | 5’9”, 175lbs | DB/WR
Edwards recently worked his way onto the radar by consistently displaying his good techniques and incredible athleticism. He is a defensive back who flashes a versatile set of skills, making him a viable option as a cornerback, nickel corner, or free safety. He has fluid movements and explosive speed out of his breaks which help give him a better shot at making a play on the ball in the air. Edwards is a sleeper who is on the verge of a breakout.
Jacob Kucharski Jacob Kucharski 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Cherry Creek | 2023 State CO | Cherry Creek | 5’11”, 178lbs | WR
Kucharski is a talented player who plans to run away with the spotlight as soon as he gets his chance to shine. He is a powerful runner with shifty cuts and quick acceleration. He can line up outside or in the slot and exploit defensive secondaries. What helps make him an extremely reliable receiver are the strength in his hands and his ability to track the ball in the air. Kucharski is a sleeper who possesses the potential to strengthen a receiving core with his athleticism and competitiveness.
Ryan Hanlon | Monarch | 5’8”, 145lbs | DB/RB
Hanlon is a low-flyer on the radar with a lot of upside. His speed and powerful running abilities are what make him an instant standout. He gives complete effort on every rep and immediately applies new techniques to his on-field playing style. He moves well as a free safety and does a great job staying over the top of routes. His tendency to be on time when breaking on throws, mixed with his speed and athleticism, allows him to make a play by locating and tracking the receiver and the ball. Hanlon is a player with budding potential, making him one to watch this fall.
Aidan Lauer Aidan Lauer ATH Littleton | 2023 State CO | Littleton | 6’2”, 170lbs | ATH
Lauer is another talented player who has been coasting under the radar. He has an abundance of raw talent that makes him stand out on both sides of the ball. His height and length give him an advantage over most of his opponents when playing the ball in the air, especially as a cornerback. He is a well-rounded defensive back who can flow in zone coverage or lockdown on his man. Lauer is a player who has the potential to be a serious prospect for either side of the ball.
Aidan Trujillo | Valley | 6’0”, 260lbs | DL/OL
Trujillo is a small-school sleeper with big-time potential. He brings speed and strength to the line on both sides of the ball. He gets around quickly as a pulling guard and uses his power to clear a hole for the ball carrier. He uses that speed as a defensive tackle to launch himself into the backfield and apply pressure. Trujillo is a radar pop-up who is deserving of a closer look.
