With 38 listed recruits, over 100 college coaches, 62 college programs represented, with big names such as Allen Trieu, Ron Bellamy, and Matt Mitchell, this event was huge. In this article, I’ll list a few recruits I heard mentioned/athletes that caught my attention.
Notable Athletes
I want to preface this by saying there were MANY athletes that performed great. It was a busy afternoon with a lot to attend to, so I’ll just be listing the select few athletes that I think stood out and athletes that I talked to coaches about.
’25 QB Sante Gasperoni
There was a good amount of buzz about Sante Gasperoni yesterday. The 6’3″ Freshman QB tested well, and it’s obvious he has great chemistry with his receivers and Cincinnati Commit Brady Drogosh Brady Drogosh 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB De La Salle | 2023 State MI . After watching his Freshman Highlights, I’m highly confident that the southpaw will seamlessly take the reigns during his Junior season and dominate. During events like these, he’s already on the radars of Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, GVSU, Ferris, and many other schools that were in attendance. The Football, Basketball, and Baseball star has an insanely bright athletic future ahead of him. Oh yeah, Sante also has a 3.78 GPA.
’23 QB Brady Drogosh Brady Drogosh 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB De La Salle | 2023 State MI
When you mention De La Salle, you can’t not mention Brady Drogosh Brady Drogosh 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB De La Salle | 2023 State MI . The Cincinnati commit looked like his usual self, competing at a high level with an insanely positive attitude throughout. He’s proven himself plenty on the field, so I can’t say anything shocked me, but I did see many coaches from programs with a “higher reputation” than Cinci taking an interest in him. Though, of course, Cinci made the CFP last season, and by the recruiting trends, they seem to be in that top-tier when it comes to those elite prospects.
’23 ATH Aaron White
White was an athlete I heard buzz about the entire afternoon. He tested very well and I kept hearing the word “overlooked” by coaches. It will be interesting to see how he’s utilized this season and if the lowkey hype surrounding him developed into anything significant.
’24 ATH Eric Christoff Eric Christoff 5'7" | 145 lbs | ATH Avondale | 2024 State MI
I coached Eric for a season at Avondale, so I made sure I had my eye on him. Having talked to a few WR coaches, they praised his quick footwork and overall twitchiness. He’s a true slot guy at 5’7, and he had some of the best feet and change of direction in the entire program. It will be interesting to see how he’s utilized this season, but I’m confident that with consistent work, he should be a big part of the offense in 2023 at the latest. Regardless, the truth is that he’s getting more eyes on him at De La Salle, and he’ll be facing significantly higher talent during the season. Eric will end up receiving offers when he truly deserves them.
