Chisom Asonye Chisom Asonye 6'1" | 185 lbs | DL South Brunswick | 2025 State NJ Edge, South Brunswick
At 6’1 185 Chisom Asonye Chisom Asonye 6'1" | 185 lbs | DL South Brunswick | 2025 State NJ has so much room to improve. He has a long lanky frame, which makes it ideal for adding more weight and the arm length it takes to win as an edge rusher consistently. He rushes primarily with his hand in the dirt and has an explosive first step that jumps out on tape. Has solid lateral agility and has a relentless motor to make plays all over the field. Consistently, uses his hand and arm length to win in run and pass defense. As a run defender does a great job of setting the edge. Uses his hands to gain leverage to be positioned to make tackles in one on one situations. As a pass rusher, he’s still raw. He flashes some hand usage but the flashes are very impressive.
Chiosm Asonye has all the physical tools to be a dominant edge rusher as he grows and gets more refined coaching. Almost all the great edge rushers at any level usually have the combination of good athletic ability, above-average first-step quickness, the ability to maintain that speed and burst as their cornering, solid hand usage, and 1-3 moves that they can always use when needed. Asonye has two of these criteria which are first-step quickness and athletic ability. You have to be excited based on what he’s already shown on tape. After seeing him at a bunch of camps this summer we have no doubts about the improvement in his sophomore year will be dramatic.

Kendall Armstrong IV QB, Absegami
At 6’0 145lbs Armstrong shows great precision and touch on his passes. Specifically, what stands out is his deep ball. He can complete these passes by either placing the ball in the perfect location where only his receiver can get it or giving his receivers a chance to win on 50/50 balls. He’s also great at throwing on the move; able to be accurate on designed rollouts and bootlegs. After just completing his freshman year, of course, has room to improve. Besides having to get bigger we would see him attack the intermediate parts of the field more and drive the ball when doing so. We’re excited to see how he progresses in his sophomore year.
Ja’kem Brown Ja’kem Brown 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Newark Eastisde | 2025 State NJ LB, Newark Eastside
Brown is in a unique position where he can play a role that’s becoming increasingly popular in the NFL. Where you have a safety/linebacker having almost synonymous responsibilities in run fits and in coverage. At 6’0 160lbs Brown is in a position where he can hone his skills at this new craft. He is a very instinctual player and makes a healthy amount of plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. He has the height and physical tools, specifically the arm length to be a monster in coverage. While there isn’t much evidence of him covering at a high level, once he begins to hone that skill set he could be a top prospect by the time his senior year rolls around.
