5. Mahki Gray, Lincoln
Gray may have more upside than anybody on this list. He makes plays after the catch, adjusts well to the ball in the air, and is explosive off the ball. He runs a sub 10.8 100 meter which is legitimate track speed. He is undersized but has the frame to add some muscle. Lincoln graduated its top three receivers so Gray should get plenty of opportunities to touch the ball next season.

4. Conor Bananal, Mt. Carmel
Bananal is a speedy slot guy who Mt. Carmel loves to run fly sweeps with. He sees the field well after the catch and he is a real asset in the screen game. He is undersized but can be a deep threat against certain matchups. He has very good hands and can catch the ball in traffic. Like a lot of guys on this list, he is small at 5-foot-7 and under 160 pounds, but has next level speed and can develop into a very good high school player.

3. Arturo Estrada Arturo Estrada 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Central Union | 2024 CA , Central
Estrada is the tunnel screen king of San Diego. Half of his highlight film is tunnel screens and short inside routes. He is elusive and sees the field extremely well. He is a track guy who excels at the triple jump and runs an 11.2 100 meter, which is solid for a sophomore and he has time to improve on that. I saw him at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January where he looked good in the agility drills and was one of the top 10 receivers at the camp.

2. Johnny Scott, Mater Dei Catholic
I love that instead of staying at St. Augustine where he would have been a top receiver, Scott challenged himself and transferred to Mater Dei which has the best 2023 receiver class in San Diego and one of the best in the state. He is a real deep threat who has the speed to beat guys in man coverage and the football IQ to find holes in zone coverage. He can break tackles after the catch and is a quality kick returner as well. It will be interesting to see how he has developed this offseason and where he fits into Mater Dei’s loaded offense.

1. Chris Brown, Mira Mesa
Brown looks so fast on film and is a real weapon out of the slot. He has a real connection with Mira Mesa’s quarterback Tyson Line Tyson Line 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Mira Mesa | 2024 State CA and his speed creates mismatches. He is too fast for a lot of safeties and you better have a good nickel corner if you hope to contain him. He can climb the ladder and make difficult catches and runs crisp routes. He recently visited San Jose State and should get some quality offers in the fall.
