From quarterbacks to receivers, running backs, offensive linemen, linebackers and defensive linemen, each and every prospect who took the time to learn and gain exposure had their opportunity to get their names out for colleges and local media to see.
Today, we bring you the final group of student/athletes who came out – the defensive backs.
Secondary Performers for the state of Florida fill out some 400 collegiate rosters across the nation, and once again – Classes 2023 through 2025 feature some of the best and most qualified players anywhere in the nation.
Here is a look at some of those standouts:
CLASS OF 2023
Logan Barnhill, 5-11, 164, Melbourne. Here was yet another prospect – under the radar – who came out and competed and did very well. From the testing to the drills and one-on-one competition, he came away with much more knowledge of the position than when arrived. Solid football talent, who can not only cover, but on blitz packages, he is quick, agile and stealth enough to cause plenty of confusion for offenses. Has a opportunity to have a really productive senior season for the Bulldogs.

Jayden Bradford Jayden Bradford 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Osceola | 2023 FL , 5-11, 160, Kissimmee Osceola. This is a gifted defensive secondary performer with outstanding ball skills and ability to make plays all over the field. While he is not blazing fast, his knowledge of the secondary is something that will go a long away in his recruitment. Tested well, reacted to the drills taught by the college coaches and was active during the one-on-one competition. His high school football team is well coached and the competition in the secondary is special. Another impressive football player to keep an eye on.

Elijah Drake-Jackson, 6-0, 155, Jacksonville Westside. A rising senior who made his way across the state to keep himself on the map and gain that valuable exposure that is needed in the recruiting process. An aggressive player who follows the ball all over the field. Whether it’s run or pass, he knows where to be and it showed at the Naples event. Quick, but not blazing fast, his instincts take over like they did during the one-on-one competition. Tested well and learned plenty from the college coaches during the drills. Another prospect to keep your eye on in 2022.

Nikesha King, 6-0, 155, Kissimmee Osceola. With several top-flight receivers and running backs on hand, playing in the defensive secondary was indeed a major test at the event, but this young man handled it very well. Coming from one of the more competitive programs around, you could see that he was taught very well, but the college coaches on hand made sure to teach him a little more. Testing, performing in the drills and one-on-ones were a major challenge that he embraced. Solid prospect who made the most of his three hours.
CLASS OF 2024
Tora “T.J. Kelly, 5-9, 150, Deerfield Beach. If you watched this young man compete, it is easy to understand why he is considered one of the top underclass prospects in south Florida, playing for a program that develops more than its share of talent. From the testing to drills and the competition, this is a talented young man who just didn’t blend it. He was aggressive and fought hard from start to finish.
CLASS OF 2025
James Brockmeier, 6-1, 182, Naples Gulf Coast. Like his older brother William, a rising junior linebacker, this is a physically gifted prospect that has the size and athletic ability, only lacking experience, which he will pick up this spring and into the 2022 season. Ran well during testing and was impressive during drills with his longer frame. While he lacks knowledge of the game, the college coaches on hand certainly showed him things that will go a long way in helping him mature as a player this coming season.
James Little IV (5-11, Fort Myers Dunbar). Yet another under-the-radar prospect who has it all, and after a stellar first season at the varsity level for a No. 1 seeded team, he has impacted greatly during the off-season. A nationally-rated sprinter and high jumper, this is someone that coaches watched all day during the showcase as he made play after play and dazzled during the drills. This is a tremendous talent who also get it done in the classroom. This is perhaps one of the country’s best for 2025!
