The Roman Soldiers Showcase brought out the best talent in the state. The wide receivers were by far the deepest group in terms of talent. These are the wide receivers that stood out and were the top performers.

PrepRedzone’s number one overall player came and put on a show for everyone in attendance. He showed the explosiveness, fluidity, and athleticism he shows on tape and displayed some impressive routes. He showed he can win with short-area quickness and with deep speed. Fowler had one the most impressive days among the wide receivers and received a top performer medal for his efforts.

Massey also put on a show during the one on ones. He specifically was strong against press and showed he can create consistent separation down the field. He flashed an array of moves in his release package and was able to get open on short and intermediate routes. Massey had a strong showing and earned a top performer medal.

[player_tooltip player_id="154114" first="Omaree" last="Walker"], Don Bosco,2024
Walker ran the best routes at the camp. He consistently garnered oooooh’s and ahhhhhhh’s from spectators that looked on. He runs his route with uncanny suddenness and displays that on most of his reps. He has a wide array of moves he uses to get open and has one of the deepest toolbags in terms of route running in the 2023 class. Walker finished his day being awarded a top performer medal.

[player_tooltip player_id="218550" first="Dez" last="Jones"], DePaul Catholic, 2025
It’s clear to see that while he’s only a freshman [player_tooltip player_id="218550" first="Dez" last="Jones"] has all the physical gifts required to be dominant at the position. He’s big, fast, physical, has strong hands, and runs solid routes with good suddenness. He won the majority of his one-on-one reps, but it’s nice to marvel and think of what he could look like by the time he’s a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="146714" first="Caidan" last="Holmes"] had a couple of good reps in the times that we saw him. He had some really explosive routes but just didn’t finish the reps all the way through, by securing the catches. He had some impressive routes nonetheless, and showed the ability to consistently get open with his route running.

Quietly, AJ Bosch put on an impressive performance. He goes to a ton of camps and in many of the camps, he consistently wins and creates separation. He has underrated speed and has an array of moves to get open. Even though he didn’t win a top performer medal he unquestionably, had one the best days among the wide receivers.
