They arrived from all over the state with one goal in mind… to showcase all the work they have put in year round. Showing up to an event like this can leave most recruits wide-eyed and nervous, but to these 3 gun-slingers its just another day at the office. Here’s a closer look at Saturdays top performing QBs.
Connor Wolf Connor Wolf 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2024 State MI – Grand Rapids Catholic Central 2024
Everyone wants to be the best and win… sadly there can only be one winner. On Saturday afternoon on his drive back to Grand Rapids, Connor Wolf Connor Wolf 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2024 State MI didn’t have to experience that sadness because he was riding home with the hardware for the Top QB Performer. Some more hardware to add to a trophy case which already includes last years Division 5 State Championship trophy. In simple terms, this QB wins! Connor has been catching my eye since the winter playing 7v7 for Legacy West, where his decision making and ball placement was incredible. The dude can flat-out spin the rock and his performance today continued to prove that. At this pace, the Cougars odds of returning to Ford Field in November seem good with Wolf as their field general.
Isaiah Marshall Isaiah Marshall 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Southfield A&T | 2024 State MI – Southfield A&T 2024
Isaiah (Zeke) Marshall might have to change his nickname to “Zip” because that’s what the ball does when it comes off his right hand. This man’s talent is superior to his peers around him. His throws leave the coaches and scouts watching him shaking their head. The timing and location of Zeke’s passes are literally a nightmare for defensive backs, man coverage, zone coverage… doesn’t matter. Marshall is a true student of the game who, somehow, seems to get better every time I see him throw. His off-season was off to a hot start, leading Legacy Navy to a 7v7 championship, with a posed demeanor and a humbled swagger to his game. The countless D1 offers for this gun slinger are well deserved and he’s only entering his junior year… there’s going to be plenty more where that came from.
Robert Lalain Robert Lalain 6'4" | 220 lbs | QB Divine Child | 2023 State MI – Divine Child 2023
It’s time people starting putting some respect on this man’s name, and I’ll be happy to be the one who leads the charge. Everyone needs to stop hitting the snooze button and wake up to his incredible talent. First off, the stature of Lalain is eye grabbing the moment you see him. Measuring at 6-4 220lbs, this horse can move. At todays event I was blown away when I clocked him in at 4.65 at the 40 yd dash. I mean come on. Joining Isaiah Marshall Isaiah Marshall 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Southfield A&T | 2024 State MI , Lalain was also one of the signal callers for Legacy Navy as they brought home the hardware during this years winter 7v7 season. Entering his senior season for the Falcons, expect the D1 offers to be rolling in by the truck loads.
