Ohio Capital Conference Top 2023 – Licking County League

Central Ohio is loaded with talent in the 2023 and 2024 classes like the rest of the state.  This series will focus on the league breakdowns for the 2023 class. <strong>Granville</strong> <strong>Tyler Ernsberger</strong>, QB -Tyler made his varsity debut late in the season and will be a great player in Central Ohio as a senior.  Throws a nice ball with accuracy and touch.  He can make all the throws with lots of spin and velocity.  He is athletic and when he pulls it down can hurt you with his legs.  He stand 6’4 and really has good vision.  Commanded the offense and appears to be a leader.  Very impressive performance for the Junior and will continue to get better. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/12911678/Tyler-Ernsberger">https://www.hudl.com/profile/12911678/Tyler-Ernsberger</a> <strong>Zanesville</strong> <strong>Christian Ramirez</strong>, DL - Christian is a real good football player.  He is a little shorter but is very strong and powerful to go along with good quickness.  He fires off the ball with a relentless motor.  Reads and plays blocks well with good technique.  He is good in his gaps and get to lockout quickly.  He has a great two first steps and gets vertical in his pass rush and pushes the pocket from the NG position.  He will be one of the better DL in 2022. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14888078/Christain-Ramirez">https://www.hudl.com/profile/14888078/Christain-Ramirez</a> <strong>Licking Heights</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="274363" first="Deuce" last="Caldwell"]</strong>, QB - Ranked 105 in Ohio and the 12th QB.  He is a star running back lining up at QB.  He can score every time he has the ball.  Has very good twitch and wiggle in the open field.  He throws the ball well on the run and can drive it down the field.  He makes touch throws well to the flat.  He plays CB/FS as well and is one of the best players on the defensive side.  He is worth a long look on film. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/11115541/Deuce-Caldwell">https://www.hudl.com/profile/11115541/Deuce-Caldwell</a> <strong>Licking Valley</strong> <strong>Ayden Stalnaker</strong>, WR - Ayden is a taller receiver who can go up and get the ball.  He wins the tweener balls and can dominate opposing DB’s.  He runs good routes and has the ability to separate on the deep ball.  He blocks really well on the perimeter and keeps his motor going to the whistle.  He is really dangerous in the red zone with his jumping ability. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13748587/Ayden-Stalnaker">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13748587/Ayden-Stalnaker</a> <strong>Watkins Memorial</strong> <strong>DaaVion Long</strong>, RB - DaaVion is a battering ram of a downhill runner.  He is patient with great burst and the ability to run you over or wiggle by.  He is a good zone back who can run the inside and outside zone well.  He is a tough tackle and escapes tackles easily with a powerful lower half.  In the open field has the ability to separate from defenders and score when he touches the ball.
