The best part about my job is when QBs who have been under the radar, grab my attention and ball out! The QBs who say: You don’t know my name? You will now! Here’s my list of the top sleeper QBs from the showcase.
Zak Olejniczak Zak Olejniczak 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Lapeer | 2024 State MI – Lapeer 2024
Its hard to call this QB a sleeper because every event he attends he dominates. Zak blew me away last Saturday, with his footwork, accuracy and pose in the pocket he had during every rep. This dude lets his game do all the talking for him! The Lightning’s signal caller has been crushing this off-season. From winning the top QB (2024) at Legacy’s QB1 The Selection, earning top offensive player awards at Rising Stars 7v7 league, to a finishing in the top ten this past weekend. After his Air Assault showing, Zak Olejniczak Zak Olejniczak 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Lapeer | 2024 State MI has jumped up in my rankings to the #7 QB in the class of 2024 and I’m very excited to watch this gun slinger’s upcoming Junior season.
DeVoine Newton Jr.- Battle Creek Central 2024
DeVoine “JuJu” Newton Jr is coming off an incredible Sophomore season, throwing for 1600+ yds, 12 TDS and adding 3 TDS with his feet. The dude is a player, and after his performance on Saturday its time to stop sleeping on him. JuJu’s footwork is what has been catching my eye since watching him make amazing off platform throws for Legacy Kzoo Black, during Legacy’s 7v7 league. He’s what I would call, an improviser with the rock in his hand. His Sophomore season highlight film is very impressive from start to finish, and his ability to keep his eyes down field, causes him to be a nightmare for any secondary he plays against. Newton is starting to make some noise on a lot of scouts list for the 2024 QBs and I’m very excited for this young man’s Junior season.
Michael Bush- Linden 2024
Michael is a sleeper who is set to make some serious noise this coming up season for the Eagles. The Linden signal caller is a technician at the quarterback position, who’s throwing motion is as smooth as they come. I first came across Bush during this years Legacy 7v7 league, spinning the rock for Flint Blue and was very impressed with the young man’s pose and arm strength. This off-season Michael has been putting in a lot of work master his craft and that work is paying off. Measuring at 6’1, 185lbs, Bush is build like a linebacker so forcing him to run the ball doesn’t seem like a wise decision for opposing defenses. After his performance last Saturday, Michael has hopped on my radar as a 2024 QB to watch.
